Two quick questions about the tourney:

1) are pins in current tourney positions?

2) are we playing a 17 hole course or will there be a temp hole in play to make it 18?

Thanks in advance.

The answers to the above questions:

1) There will be different layouts for the first two rounds and the third round. The third round is expected to be longer and more difficult.

2) The old hole 9 will be the 18th hole. 9 and 9a, I assume.

The creek will be playing OB. The tourney is at 51, a little over half full (fill at 90) and is likely to be open to registration all the way to tee-off. There is more then enough space if you want to play get a hold of Randy Wylot or Mark Verrochi...Already 9 players in open (2 1000+), 12 in advanced, 10 in intermediate, 9 in recreational and 7 in advanced masters. Verrochi tells me that the ams will have a very fat players pack, this will be worth it to play...

Just so everyone is clear, even though the tournament is called the 2010 California State Flying Disc Championship, it is a PDGA and SoCal sanctioned disc golf tournament with three rounds of 18 holes. The overall championship is an exciting addition to the event that will include world-class DDC and Freestyle competitors with disc skills that will amaze you. So even if you are interested in playing golf only, the other events, canine demonstration and vendor booths will provide extra entertainment.

Oh yeah, the ace contest will no doubt generate much interest. Try your hand at making a 150-foot shot to earn the right to throw an ace for a Mini Cooper! I know Im going to keep shooting until I either make the shot or run out of money (hopefully the former and not the latter :)).

There are still spots available so dont miss out. Sign up today. More details at www.sandiegoaces.com
