Jerry Robbins asked me to post to the disc golfers. His e-mail account has been hi-jacked and is being used to scam his friends.
The scammer e-mails us, using Jerry's e-mail account, saying that Jerry has been mugged in England, lost all his money and credit cards, and can't return home until he pays his bills. He then requests an emergency loan, to be wired to an address in England.
If the scammer can e-mail us, he knows our e-mail addresses and could perhaps hi-jack our accounts, so this is a general warning. Suspect any message from a friend asking for emergency financial help, unless you can actually talk with that friend on the telephone and verify the story. Another safety precaution, which is what I did, is to ask a question that only that friend could answer.
