Registration for the Labor Day Weekend Seven Springs Disc Golf Classic is live at www.pdga.com!

Congratulations to our first and second registered players, Jerry Gotcha and Josh Mountain Man Smith. Thanks guys!

The course is set, PDGA B-tier sanctioning has been approved, and the Mid-Atlantic's best 4-season resort is ready for you, your family and friends for a Labor Day Weekend event -- the Seven Springs Disc Golf Classic!

Tournament Director J. Gary Dropcho and Seven Springs Event Directors Brandon Hoffman and Melissa Cullin have planned not only 36 holes of disc golf on the par-64 7Springs course, but plenty of time for all to relax and enjoy everything else that the Mountain Resort offers. Tee times will be used to give players time before or after their round to relax at the Bavarian Beach, take a bike ride, pedal a hydro bike, get a massage at the Spa, play miniature golf, hot tub, or whatever they'd like to do.

At least $500 added to the pro purses, 100% payout in amateur player packages and prizes, low entry fees, and an outstanding room rate of $129/night (Quad occupancy!) at the resort hotel add up to a great weekend.

Register online at www.pdga.com and reserve your room through www.7Springs.com, but don't delay because the tournament field is limited to 72-players.

Sign ups are underway, custom stamped merch is in the pipeline, and the course is being prepped for the first PDGA tournament at Seven Springs!

Tee times will be assigned for the first round by division and in the order of registration. Groups will go off both holes 1 and 10 starting at 10 am every 10 minutes so that the last groups will tee off at 11:20 am. Requests for tee times will be taken but not guaranteed.

After playing their first nine holes, groups will have 60 minutes to eat lunch, take a quick dip in the pool or do whatever before being at their tee for second nine holes. The lift to the top takes around 7 minutes. The first groups will tee off for their second nine holes at 12:30 pm and should finish shortly after 2 pm, leaving the afternoon to enjoy the other activities the resort offers.

Seven Springs is also hosting a bike race Labor Day weekend, so book your rooms at the lodge now to insure the best balcony view! 4 people/room for $129.

Register for the tournament at pdga.com, and for your accomodations at 7springs.com.

As the 7Springs slogan goes, "You really should be here!"

I am looking to come out and help J. Gary as an assistant TD / Scoring Director / Non-playing Certified Official. If anyone is looking for a roomate to split the $129/night lodging at the resort, I'm in. If you've already booked a room and need another to fill your double, triple or quadruple occupancy and split up the costs even further, lemme know! http://www.pdga.com/discussion/images/icons/icon14.gif

This Labor Day Weekend, why would anyone near the 'Burgh consider playing a tournament other than the inaugural PDGA event at Seven Springs Mountain Resort?

Not me! This tournament is going to be a lot of fun! :)

The lure of winning $5,000 at the players cup is pretty big.

That being said, I will be at 7 springs.

And Jeff, I think Lori, Sid and I need 1 more person for Saturday night if you are interested?

Thanks for the offer Chris but I can no longer attend now. "The Boss" decided that Worlds, the Vibram, and the Skylands Classic in the last 30 days was enough. :p

But you had to make the trip back to the top to watch the Advanced playoffs...or just to watch Tim F. chuck one to the bottom?!?!?!

SCOTT

I would have to say that shot was more fun to watch than my playoff. Don't forget about Matt trying to clear the pond and chucking like 3 discs into it. That was good too!
