Ahh man...only 2 rounds??

Jun 18 2010, 03:20 PM
Lol! Yeah, but there are 5 other games to participate in, too! Also, the entry fees will be priced like there's only two rounds, so it should be fine all around!

UPDATE: There will be 3 rounds of disc golf, and for those concerned with the heat (like myself) we will be providing water jugs and, if possible, a misting area to keep cool in!

To everyone who received a "schedule" of events from Steve King related to the State Championships, please ignore it. It says that we will be playing Lions first, Griffin second on Saturday. This is incorrect. The schedule of events that I have posted on here is the correct one and it is the one we will be going by, since I am the TD on this. I apologize for the confusion, but there are a lot of changes going on in Sooner Disc Golf and misunderstandings can happen during these times. Thanks for understanding!
See you there!

For the distance competition, will there be any OB's? In other words, will we have to throw within any boundaries?

Jul 21 2010, 10:37 AM

Are the field events and overall state championships broken into each individual division or is it just a pro and a am? i.e. a Rec champion, Int, Adv, Adv Mast, Adv Grand...for each event or is it just Golf.

I guess its just one overall champion?? if did i read the earlier post right?

Aug 03 2010, 02:16 PM
For the 5 field events, there will be a general Pro division and a general Am division, with one state champion in each division and one overall state champion for all events. However, in the disc golf event, there will be Pro, Advanced, Am, Nov, and Juniors (with all applicable women's, masters, grandmasters, and sr. grandmasters fields as well). There will be a State Champion for each of these divisions for disc golf.
I hope that answered your questions, Mutt! Feel free to call me if I was unclear (that happens sometimes! Lol! ;) (405) 365-8038.
See you there!

Can you post a link or just post the rules for DDC? Thanks

Aug 03 2010, 02:55 PM

Jason, this is the best one I've found. You can also try wikipedia and I know that there are tons of videos on youtube, one of which I posted here!
Hope that helps!

Just a reminder: When you're signing up for the tourney, remember that the field events are not mandatory, but the more events you play, the better chance you have at becoming overall state champion!

Scores are posted! Thanks everyone for coming out to play! The tournament went really smoothly and we saw some really great talent all weekend! I'll post the scores for the field events tomorrow. Great job everyone!!
