I could probably guess, but could someone please clarify course schedule and tee assignments for the different divisions? (Which course and which tee for each round?)

Looking forward to my first PFDO!

In an effort to ward off some of the emails, calls, and face to face questions…..
No Cash….No Spot
This seems to be a popular request. It dosn't matter who you know or your situation. For various reasons each spot costs money. This tournament has a limited field and will fill. Thank you.

Thanks Scott for all the clarification about the PFDO.

I had one question from the flyer - it states that $9 will be coming out of the players entry fee for PDGA fee's, Can-Am fee's, MADC fee's and PFDS fee's - my question is how does taking money out of everyone's entry for MADC and CanAm fee's benefit non-CanAm and non-MADC folks?

SCOTT
Jul 19 2010, 10:29 PM
Good Question. By paying and playing in the event you become a CanAm and MADC participant.

The PFDO is a tournament within the Can-Am point series. The Can/Am point series has been running for a long time and Pittsburgh has been one of the regular stops in that series. Here's the web site for 2010:

http://www.canamdiscgolf.org/

I'm unsure if MADC offers a point-tracking series like the Can-Am gig. What I do know is there are sponsorship monies available to clubs who participate in the MADC series. The PFDS have used these monies to enhance our sanctioned tournaments over the years (I believe the PFDS has participated in MADC events for the past couple of decades). I've read a bit of info in the forum section of their web site.

The time is getting closer. There is just one week left until the $20 late registration fee goes into effect. Sign up now or forever hold your peace.

On another note the MADC money should not be in the reg. fee. We will be giving it back to the players in either a CTP or part of the players picnic. CanAm fees will be in there and I do not see that changing anytime soon. It is a great series and it is solely up to the player if they want to participate in more events to qualify. If they do awesome, if not thanks for the $2. The Can Am series has 3 events in the pittsburgh area. Ironwood, PFDO, The Hunt, and Knobulus. That means someone around here would only need to play in one more being it outside of PA to qualify.

You forgot about Indiana...So that's 5 events in Western PA that's involved in the Can Am Point Series.

Your correct. I was running out of my 5 minute increment of quota time at work and did not get a chance to edit my post. I said three then wrote four events! Your right there is 5. More than enough reasons to participate in the series.

Hiya to all campers out there! Kira D. and I will be pre-regged within the next 48 hours and us Michigan folk will be staying at the BREAKNECK campground and would love to see more golfers camping with us. here's why you should choose the Breakneck:

- Great showers
- $8 a night. (compare with other campgrounds at $35/night)
- 5 minutes from Moraine
- No reservation required
- Tons of space
- Free firewood last year
- Swimming in the class 3 rapids river mere minutes from the campsites (see facebook photos), very safe
- Waterfalls
- And the number one reason to camp at the Breakneck: THERE ARE NO MOSQUITOS IN PITTSBURGH!!!

see y'all next weekend!

Also just a heads up on the mystery fun forFriday the 6th at Knob Hill. I will be running a 50/50 round. You can get in the Pro or Am competition. The cost will be $10 and 50% of the total per division will go towards the winner of that day round and the other 50% will go toward that division in the PFDO for both entered pro and AM? Make sence? If not just give me your money...lol
