I have played some night golf and it is a lot of fun. Makes for some great pictures. It is especially handy in the summertime in areas that never cool off, like Phoenix or Las Vegas.
However, I would ask night golf participants to make sure that nighttime use of their golf course is allowed by park rules. One of the courses in my town is in a park that closes at dusk, yet we regularly find glow sticks attached to baskets, so it's obvious that someone is playing at night. Wanton disregard for park rules is frowned upon by park administrators, some of whom chalk this up as another instance of disc golfers not being willing to act responsibly (right up there with drinking alcohol, smoking and doing drugs in the park, urinating in public, etc.).

Man am I glad I don't live out there in CA. Parks close at dark, you can't have a beer, can't smoke out in the park.... seems really uptight for a fairly cool place...

Mitch Mac has night golf every fall and winter...the money raised goes to his annual tournament.
