Probably the worst course on the nicest piece of land I have ever played.

Sorry Chrissy. The course was not very forehand friendly. Perhaps you would have liked it more from the perspective of a golf cart. I know I had a great time. Not sure if I played well, I know I drank well though...lol

It was actually a forehanders dream course. every hole was set up for it perfectly. I had a problem with the distances from green tees. A great shot was no better off than a horrible shot. No matter what, everyone was getting a 3 on more than half the holes. There were a few good holes. I like 13, 14 and 16. 16 was by far the best hole on the course.

The short tees were much better than the long tees, but there was a lot of backtracking to get to the next tee a lot of times.

Also the course was extremely dangerous. Lots of tees right by the previous basket.

Such a beautiful piece of land, it's a shame that a better course was not made.

If the baskets would have been 35 feet shorter or 100 feet longer on most of the holes, then you would have seen a better scoring spread.

Thanks for running a great tourney Jerry. Golf with carts=lotsa fun! I was aiming at Chris for most of my shots :-)

Hot round won me a dollar!

$1. That's funny.

I wish you would have hit me. Might have knocked my head back into place.

Sure were some beautiful trees there!!!

Would be cool if this were a PDGA event with a sponsor that would pay all of the greens fees.

Won't be a PDGA event. Those baskets are not approved.

Those baskets look like something made in the 1950's after the UFO craze.

As Timmy would say . . . .. JUNK!

Actually...They are approved. The baskets are Designer Pro which as you can see in the attached document are on the list of approved targets.

I'm thinking they are the same thing. I got that name of basket from http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=278 And yes...regardless...dookie!!!

I'd probably not do a PDGA sanctioned event there simply because you can't carry a cooler full of beer with you during one.

You can drink beer at a C-Tier as it is up to the TD.

Regarding the PDGA's crackdown on beer, the wording of the rule makes it harmless, at least with C Tiers:

"The use of alcohol is forbidden from the 2-minute warning until the player's scorecard is submitted. At a C Tier event, the TD shall either disqualify the offending player or issue them a warning."

"Maybe the TD would like to issue warnings along with Marshall Street Koozies, thus making it a no-warm-beer rule. At any rate it doesn't sound like it's worth worrying about, especially for the TD, who already has better things on his mind than enforcing the PDGA's Church Lady rules." :-) from Ask Torque http://marshallstreetdiscgolf.com/htmlpages/torque_archive/torque_archive_0803.html

Nice....Was wondering how we were going to get people not to drink for Huckin' Halloween this year. I see no reason not to drink now. Continue the tradition!
