I'm in the final planning stage for a trip from Atlanta GA to Milford MI for Am Nationals. On the way up we are stopping to play Idlewild. From what I hear it's a must play. We want to play something on the way back too. We plan on leaving Milford Sunday evening ans stopping for a lay over sometime that night. I want to get up Monday morning and play another course. What are your suggestions? Anything close to 75 will be convenient for our trip. Thanks for any info.

Lincoln Ridge (formerly Banklick) is not too far from Idlewild on the other side of I-75 and has received good ratings. Ohio Northern U in Ada, OH is not too far off I-75 and is a challenging course that traverses campus.

Mt. Airy in Cincinnati is only a couple miles from 75 and is an excellent course. Veterans park in Lexington is also a nice one.

So it looks like our drive back will take us to Cincinnati at least. Depending on what time we leave, we may be stopping around Lexington KY. Any suggestions for a course around Lexington?

Skip Lexington and go straight to Cincy.
Way better courses in Cincy. Play
Idlewild and Mt. Airy. Bring some Advil.

Playing Idlewild on the way up. I thought about taking a detour and playing the Brent Hambrick course in Columbus. There are too many choices. Any other opinions on Lexington?

How about a double dose? You could stop in Oxford, OH on Sunday night and in the morning play Miami University's course. After that, head down to Mt. Airy. It's 30 miles south on the same road (US-27). When you finish your second round you'll be a couple miles from 75.

Miami's course is really cool. There are some awesome shots. Here's a map.
