It's officially official, there is a new WFDF World Distance Record for boys 10 years old and under. The previous record of 399' was surpassed Easter Sunday morning with a big throw of 426' by 10 year old Nicholas Duran of Pinetop Az. Nicholas accomplished this feat at Woodland Disc Golf Course in Pinetop Az. with an Ice Blue Innova Champion Wraith. Nick currently holds 3 other WFDF Distance Records for 7, 8, and 9 year old boys. Nick has also managed to win 3 consecutive World Championship titles and last year won his first Doubles World Titles with his partner Brock Dowell of Burlington Iowa. Nick is also currently the youngest player to be signed to a major Disc Golf Manufacture Team, Team Innova. Below are links to the WFDF website where you can see all of Nicks records (as well as other current Distance and other Flying Disc Sports World Records), a link to youtube videos of Nicks World Record attempts and World Record throw itself, as well as a link to Nicks home course info (also home course to Top Pro player Paul Ulibarri). If your ever in Az., we invite you up to come out and play!

Brock is a very good golfer! He'll be one to watch for in the future! And it took Nick about 6 years also to reach that distance.

Nick says thanks! Some of those records are really crazy, but if they're done with a disc or Frizbee they're kept as records. I'd like to go into space and try and beat that Galactic MTA (maximum time aloft) record. That'd be cool!
