Dear Pro Women-
What gets you to show up? I run the Beachwood Classic, July 17 & 18- Buffaloish-
If i add $500.00 to your purse.....can I get ten open girls? Whats the motivating number to come to the Southern Tier of Buffalo in July.

I think $500 added is a pretty good number. Make that your minimum added but shoot for more. If you are trying to get at least 10 pro women you may want to look at the schedule and see what tournaments you are competing with.... The BH Mermorial is the weekend before, with an A tier in MI to follow (same weekend as yours), then Worlds. You did pick a good weekend since there are no Majors elsewhere. So, where are the pros going to go after the BH when they have 2 weeks to kill before Worlds? Either to practice in Crown Point, A-tier in MI, or a little out of the way to NY....lots of added cash is a good start. For me, money isn't always the motivating factor. I would love to say I am going to make the trip, but I have no idea where I am going to find a job and I have already had to put my Worlds plans on hold because of that. If I find one in or near NY though I will plan on it!

Discchick- this is the other side of the disc golf girl cash dilemma. And it is no accident that we picked the week we did.
I'm a chick TD that runs a girls league and I want my girls to meet and watch what they can be. I have had one of the highest valued B-tier for the last 4 years. We add TONS of cash and I have had 2 open women and not on the same year. I am willing to raise cash but I want the chicks. I don't want to hand $250 to Elaine and $250 to Alanna because they are the only two smart enough to show. I got $500.00 right now and it is colored pink. I have already sanctioned my event. Put your name down. Game on.

Also- I promise to raise matching cash for an open masters division if you gals are so inclined to show. In fact, I'll play and make the step up.

Oh- also for future efforts- Would my tournament becoming a Vibram women's qualifier, make it more attractive to come and play?

I would say absolutely! One of these years I will make a point to qualify for that one too, and I am sure that will entice others!
I do think you will have more success this year just from looking at the schedule. I am sure some of the traveling ladies will go a bit out of their way if they know there is going to be a big pot of gold to win. But, let me warn you with the CCR- JBird always hooks the ladies up.

We have stalled at six chicks registered in our open division. Although this is very very good, we are still shy 4 girls to get to the $500.00. Mel from Ohio- Are you coming? Any other girls out there? The tournament is full but I always let girls in. Heck- I'll build a new hole before I turn girls down. The Beachwood Classic V- July 17-18, 2010

Sooo, how do you get nine pro women at your tournament? First- you offer $500.00 bucks if you get ten....then-
1- talk three am women to play pro.
2- get chicks from four states and two different countries.
3- Throw them the $500 even when.....you only get to nine.
4- Hire an onsite babysitter.
Just thought you might wanna know.
