HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010 SURPRISE BELTON TEXAS MINI.

Ok, Woody has been working hard on getting a course in Belton for a few years now and finally he might have done it! He is working to gain access to a Corps of Engineers park for a course. He is continuing to get the City of Belton involved in this project and all is looking well.

Because of this great accomplishment TDGA will put on a mini to help with introducing this park to the public. This mini will be conducted using temporary baskets and tee boxes. It will be a basic layout on how the course is projected to be. We do need a few more baskets for the mini so if you can help please contact myself, Joey or Woody.

Mail to: [email protected],[email protected],[email protected]

Here is the scoop....

Woody has the park reserved from Saturday morning through Sunday evening January 2nd and 3rd.
This means primitive camping is available and FREE.
We will set up the course on Saturday, play, Bar-B-Q, hang out, and camp out Saturday night. ( Bring your lights for night golf!) ( BYOB & food).

The mini will take place Sunday at 10:00am with the normal TDGA fees, rules, and cash payout. There will also be some additional prizes donated for participants from local sponsors.

There will be an optional ace pot with ALL the money collected paid out to ace or CTP.

Directions to the park.
The Park is located on FM 439 in Belton Texas near Belton Dam. It is directly at the intersection of FM 439 and FM 2271. The turn in to the park is on the south side of FM 439 just west of FM 2271.
Directly across FM 439 is "The Dead Fish Grill" which offers dinner and drinks with a lake side view.

PLEASE COME OUT AND HELP PROMOTE THIS NEW PROJECT!

Anybody and everybody is invited to this fun outing!
You do not have to be a member to participate in the mini tournaments.
Register by 10:00am. Tee off at 10:30am.
Memberships will be available at the Minis.
All scheduled events subject to cancellation without notice.
Please E-MAIL ([email protected]) for tournament updates or questions.

Sounds Great. I will get with the other members to see how many baskets we currently have. I believe we have about 15 baskets. So we might hit you up for 3 to 5 ... if you have them available.

I just talked to Woody and he let me know that we could use 8 baskets. We have 7 cloth baskets that will work but would prefer real baskets if possible. The goal is to have them setup Saturday morning and ready to go for Sunday. There will be TDGA members there all day Saturday and camping out Saturday night and playing a round of night golf. Fill free to come and camp out and have some fun. Would love to have you all there. Let me know what you can do, so I can coordinate with Woody. Thanks again for all the help.

Please click on this link for directions from austin to the park. Easiest way I can give it. The link below has the second "B" location set to just outside the park entrance. The entrance will be on your left.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=austin,+TX&daddr=Farm+to+Market+439+W&hl=en&geocode=%3BFQWa2gEdIpUw-g&mra=ls&sll=31.103013,-97.476411&sspn=0.011777,0.022423&ie=UTF8&t=h&layer=c&cbll=31.103499,-97.4794&panoid=eQg_eHixJbEkBlR8k3MWSw&cbp=11,206.46,,0,8.03&ll=31.103499,-97.4794&spn=0.000728,0.003819&z=19
