Follow the link to check out some photos from the new disc golf course at McFarland Park in Florence, Ala.! A dozen basket were installed (and played!) Saturday, Dec. 19. Another six are in the works. The new course will be used in the annual Spring Fling-It March 20-21.

Well, there are now 18 holes in the ground, 12 Innova Discatcher Pros on holes 1-11 and 18, and six painted PVC targets for holes 12-17. Blue and Gold natural tees are marked and the course got a lot of play on Sunday. There are a lot of discs in the ponds. I personally lost two drivers on one hole. Not very good shot selection my part, at least for the second shot. The result? A double circle snowman (8). But it's a sweet course!

Here's hole #9. There's a faint blue circle to the left of the basket marking the blue tee and a yellow circle to the right of the Innova band marking the gold tee. A sweet hole!
