I got some bad news today while at church. One of our members is currently in Afghanistan, and his wife said that one of his captains had a heart attack in the last couple of days. Upon talking to her further, I come to find out it was one of our fellow disc golfers Terry Blanton. She did not know alot, other than that he is now in a hospital in Germany and that it happened during a training exercise.

Terry had just recieved many discs and was in the process of getting a basket, just trying to spread disc golf no matter where he is and what the situtation. He is a great guy, and is sure needing our thoughts and prayers. I'll try to find out more soon.

If anyone knows any nore please post too, or call someone who can post.

Terry, if you read this, know that lots of prayer went up for you today, and will continue until you get back home. Post for us and let us know how you're doing!

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Sorry about not posting sooner, things have been a little fuzzy lately. I made it home from the hospital Germany last week, and everything seems to be OK. I now have some fancy new metal in me and get to take lots of meds for a very long time, but that beats the alternative. Hopefully, I will get cleared to be back on the course soon. Maybe I can add some D to my drives.

WOW !!!!!! Terry called today and I got to play #9 holes of casual golf with him at Ben Geren !!! :cool:

By the way a thinner (twenty or so lb.) version of Terry, but he still has that reliable disc golf game that he always had (maybe a little rusty)

But I'm sure it won't take him long to get back into his true form !!!!! :)
