We even scheduled the So Cal Series awards in Sylmar this year to make it easier for our Northern members to attend. It had been in Riverside for two years.

We will be playing one round at Sylmar in the morning and hosting the awards banquet in the afternoon at the Sylmar Moose Lodge.

I guess we will miss the Santa Maria, Goleta and Ventura players once again in spite of our efforts to get them more involved.

Suzette, will we have a chance to re-new our Socal membership for the 2010 season at the banquet? This would be a great oppurtunity to get players signed up for next year. Thank you for all your help and stepping up with the Socal events during a very challenging year. Looking forward to seeing other players/members to step it up and provide support for making next year an even better one!

I think you might see several events added to next year's Socal list.

As always, players can sign up for So Cal membership at the Year End Awards & Full Membership meeting and pick up their So Cal member disc and bag tag. Players that renew or sign up for 2010 PDGA memberships at the banquet receive a $5.00 discount.

This is the time of year when the schedule starts getting hacked out, so if there are plans for new events for 2010 it would be good to start talking turkey with Suzette sooner rather than later.

Otherwise we end up with a lot more scheduling conflicts than necessary. (Sometimes they can't be avoided, but talking early about dates helps avoid the ones that can be avoided.)

I know that there will be several courses opening in San Diego 2010, and we may try to put an event around Sept-Oct.

There is a lot of behind the scenes work that goes on when setting dates within So Cal, Nor Cal and the CVS. If YOU are running an event in the So Cal area in 2010, please contact me directly to work on the date.

hehe, you're funny Evan. I know a few are split on which event to go to. I want to go to both. Waller Pines is a great course to play and would be cool to hang out with the J & J again.
