Saturday dubs. will be at Nani Falcon this week. Sign up @ 1.30 & tee @ 2.00, we are going to meet in the back. The ace pot starts @ $0.00, Larry V. took the last one.As everyone knows were losing the front 7 holes @ U.C., Shawn Hess & crew along with the city have been busy cutting in a awesome new 7. Shawn has had his Bobcat & other equipment out there all week. I would like to dedicate the course improvemnt fund to Precision Tree Service (Shawn Hess). It's not going to cover all his expenses, but it will help, any thoughts?

We definitely owe Precision Tree Service a huge debt of gratitude. They are basically donating their time because they love the course and the game of disc golf. They are not only working for free, they are unable to work on paying jobs while they are working out there.

LODGA is making a donation to cover the cost of gasoline, chains, oil, etc. I also have some other ideas in mind to reward the guys, but we can never fully repay them what they deserve.

So when you see Tracy or Shawn out on the course, thank them. Without them, this project could take months of work days to complete.

We should throw them a nice suprise thank you party/bbq or something. I don't think they read the messageboard so it can still be a suprise :).

How about both clubs grouping together and running a mini and all proceeds go to them, for all their labor costs, also have a bbq that same day.... just a thought...

Here is an update. I talked to Shawn this morning and he told me 5 of the 7 holes were "roughed in". I was out on that side of town around noon so I walked back there and checked it out, they are doing great.

So basically two more holes to cut in and then we will need to have some workdays to clean them up, fine tune the holes, and then move the pads and baskets. All that is easier said than done, obviously.

The city will help with backhoe to remove baskets and forklift to move the tee pads. We will need help setting the baskets and concrete.

So there is still lots of work to do before we start talking about a bbq/mini, but that is a great idea.
