not to be picky, but my total points for the year so far are wrong, they say 27, but if you add 2+8=10+6=16+5=21+7=28. 28 is my real total number of points, the only reason i care is if it really effects my rating, if it does, you can check my math, but if it does, please change my total number of points(if i am right).

I suspect your point total is correct. Some of your points in events are likely rounded up from half points for the online display, like maybe the 8 is really 7.5 and the 2 is really 1.5. So their total is 9 not 10.

Your point total is unrelated to your rating.

Is there any use for the points?

As membership increases, more and more divisions will be filled at Worlds based on players who earned more points the previous years and got invited, especially at Am Worlds and in older divisions.
