I was thinking if there was enough interest, I can still get ahold of discraft, and do an official (free discs and all the goodies associated with discraft) ace race. It could co-inside with the glow round around halloween at knob. and the club could sell some schwag before the winter to bring in cash and drop some inventory for the long cold winter.... I would follow thru and get the program up and running if we have some interest. please let me know before oct 1. because thats the cut off date (I believe). scotty doing an awesome job recruiting players for the knobulus maximus. I would like you to help If you are interested and have the time. aigt holla IF YA CAN HEAR ME!!!

would be cool, but I think 2 ace race rounds and then the glow round would just be too much....

I would help out with what I can. Definately make pre-registration mandatory. Sundays are out because of football. Discraft wants you to do the order 2 weeks in advance of the event. November 7th would be a good date. Run registration till October 18th and order on the 19th. That gives more time for people to decide to get in or not. There is also a Knob Hill mixer on the 7th. There is no sense in carrying too few or too many ace race packages just because people didn't pre-reg. We can discuss further after Knobulus. I'm in though, it would showcase the new red T signs that we were putting in today.

I have seen a couple flyers. It would be good to show up ready (with glow discs or sticks) about 6 ish. Bring a jack o lantern if you can.

So no bulk purchase of glow discs or anything like that will be happening I take it. What's the recommended place to purchase items, and what items in particular should be bought?

Never did a glow round.

Thanks,

mark

I like glow discs the best. I use a LED flashlight and basically hold it on the disc and draw the glow on before I throw. You can also use little glow sticks. They make little fishing lure glow sticks that you can find at Walmart and any place that has fishing stuff. They work great on champion plastic, just adhere with some clear packing tape. Some people use the LED lights. The best way to use these is to drill a hole in your disc. They also make light up discs. I prefer simple glow disc. Not much need to carry more than two.

if you use a glow disc, a camera flash is the best way to charge it. put the disc inside your bag, and flash it once. good for an entire hole.

The people who usually run this are not doing it this year. Not sure why??? But anyway, I would bring all of your own stuff if you can.

I most likely won't be there this year. first time in 5 years. Kinda sad since it was my idea to start the glow halloween event....but there is a PDGA 1-day in Chillicothe, OH that day.

Hey there,
I'm confused since I've never played the Halloween glow golf. Where does that usually take place? I thought it was at Moraine, but this thread started out talking about Knob Hill. Perhaps I have no idea what I'm talking about. (Wouldn't be the first time. :P )
