So I'm starting my own thread about me. That's right, me.
Anyway, this past weekend in a sanctioned event I threw back to back aces (which to the best of my knowledge has only been done once, maybe twice before (according to the very incomplete PDGA records I found on Hossfeld's site)) and also threw a 17 on the front 9 (2, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 2). I'm curious...does anyone have actual complete PDGA records or is this something that should be done? I figure as a real sport these days, we should have a complete record book for, well, just about any kind of achievement you can come up with.

So, does anyone know of any other back to back aces or a 17 for a given 9 holes in a PDGA sanctioned tourney?

Thanks.

Dave Kociuba #26608 threw back to back aces at Michiana Open in 2005. He threw a total of 4 aces during that tournament (and still finished in 40th place in ADV)!

Yeah i remember that! He was right behind us the whole weekend on the bottom card so we saw/heard 3 of his aces.

Back to back in a tournament is pretty sweet.

Good to know, thanks guys. I believe a lady did it back in the day...so it's good to know I'm not alone but keep some company there :)

2000 worlds in Michigan there was a guy who aced back to back holes at Hudson Mills Monster Course. Am I recalling correctly?

Yes, Rock Serle on #5 and #6 on the Monster, Hudson Mills.

He volunteers at USDGC every year, spotting on #4, among other duties.

That is pretty sick, Mitch.

Congrats!

Curious if he cashed higher than any pro's who cashed at the event?

Ok, so clearly the back to back ace thing has done before in multiple tournaments before, and that's cool. The other half of the original question was if anyone knows of anyone else who's thrown a 17 for a given 9 holes? Stupid 3...could have had a 16...heh.

Joe Monteith started off -4 after 2 holes at the '05 or '06 Solsun Memorial at Coldbrook in Kzoo (before the re-deisgn for Worlds) with aces on #23 and #24. Unsanctioned.

Yeah, looked like it was gonna hit dead center! That was the 3rd round, hole #6. One other guy aced that one round 1, so I only got 2/3 of the ace pool...

Justin Mcluen hit back to back aces at the 2004 Worlds...with the same disc I do believe.

Also, Tom Cremer shot an -18 on 18 holes a few years back. I think he had an ace in there too.
