the top of the pack is padded with 2 inches of foam and a 1/4inch board for support it's also all removable if it ever need to be replaced... and the bottom of the bag has four 1 1/2 inch rubber feet to help prevent wear on the bottom of the bag
so there it is 4 years worth of thinking and designing...

Can be bought online at...

I was lucky enough to be one of 6 proto testers for this bag and it has been the best bag I've ever used. I've had just about every other bag on the market. The final version has even more featyres than the proto. Feel free to ask any questions.

How much does the new bag weight without anything in it?

dgdave

About 3 or so pounds. Its close to a carolina with quads attached.

Carolina- 125
Camptime Stool- 30
Quads- 40

that's 195 bucks. This has more storage space than a Carolina, 2 putter pockets and the option for a water bladder. And your drink won't fall out of the drink holders.

The bag is 5.5 pounds, say the gorilla himself.

Nice bag, that's what I've been working on. Looks like GB beat me to the punch. I will probably get one of those next, that is if I still carry that many discs by the time I need a new bag.

From the DGR site...

here's my retarded twin cousin wearing the proto. we're 5'10 for reference.

http://www.zamdesign.com/randomage/gbsimianposes.jpg

and some action...

you can see the top handle in use, also an idea of how well the discs stay in the open compartment. in the upside-down test, a disc or two poke their nose out, but there was also a jerking stop... obviously a stack of 12 drivers not crashing out is testament enough.

What is in the space below the disc in the main compartment?

That's the one dead space spot in the bag. You could put stuff down there though. I've thought about some sort of stereo or speakers some something like that.

I'm interested, but when can we expect shipment? Also, is this thing gonna last? I bought the revolution backpack for $150 with the idea it would last forever, or at least a couple years. The cheap plastic inserts to hold the discs are all broken and now my discs just flop around all over. Was this made with rugged disc golf in mind?

Awesome putting the seat in the bag, one less thing to carry. Also should stabilize the bag, as the rev backpack tends to get a little top heavy and fall over a lot. I'm just a little worried that the plastic will start breaking down over time.

The only thing preventing me from purchasing one immediately is the price tag. Maybe it's worth $200, but that's quite an investment. I'll be closely watching these bags from now on! :)

Gorilla boys hold up a LONG time. I would assume the frame will last. Its veavy duty PVC pipe.

As for yout Dual Pack, you could probably email Dave at Revo and he could do something for ya. He has great customer service.

I carried the DP for a while and I like this pack so much more.

I used to carry around a Gateway backpack. Just got to be too much. Simplified and just went with a Revo Carolina. Can't get much better than that! Changed my avatar for you too!

@ this price it should hold more tan 16 disc. Yes it has water res and it doubles as a seat but not enough room for disc for me JMO. I carry 22-28 discs so this wouldn't work for me. Am I seeing it wrong can it hold more disc or is it stuffed at 16-17 discs?

dgdave
Nov 05 2009, 10:28 AM
I've gotten 28 in it and you would still have spare room for keys, phone, small snack, etc.

Furthur

The side pockets hold 5-6 drivers a piece. You can get more than 12 discs in the interior as well. The putter pockets can hold either 2 putters or 3 drivers.
