Wow...
Talk about the most interesting round of disc golf I've ever played. I picked up a story tonight that I'm going to tell for the rest of my life. It may be inappropriate for children but I won't use any foul language.
So I'm playing a league round tonight after having played 42 holes on Saturday on arguably one of the most exhausting courses in existence. I was not playing well and I was just kind of saying "oh well...they'll drop my worst round and this is going to be it for sure."
I started playing some unorthodox shots just to see what would happen because I had already given up on scoring well during this round. Well I tried to play a turnover shot that didn't turnover like I had hoped so I ended up long left in a wide open fairway.
I begin to approach my disc when I notice some sounds coming from the bushes and I look up to see what it is. Well let's see...here's a naked girl with her legs spread wide in the air 20 feet away from me with a naked man on top of her. I wonder what is going on here.
I stomp up to my disc and clear my throat and make as much noise as possible and these people just don't hear me or see me. I'm like...ok...there is no way I can make a shot with that going on in my peripheral. So I went and got my group and I was like...I think you guys should come see this. They all come over and sure enough, they verify the activity that I thought was taking place.
One of them at that point yelled "Don't mind us! We're just playing disc golf!" They noticed us and scrambled for their clothes and I just tried to make my shot. Of course it sailed long but I just wanted to get out of there...talk about awkward...
What made it REALLY awkward was the fact that we ran into this girl on hole 4 and she asked us where hole 11 was because she was meeting someone there. Well...we found them on hole 11...
Then to top things off I lost a disc in a major crosswind that sailed across a river with no bridge. I braved the current and the frigid temperatures (it was only about 50 degrees when I went in...the water was probably near freezing) and stripped down to my skivees to go find my disc. On the plus side I found an FLX Surge which is a disc I really like and it had no name or markings on it as well as the disc that I lost. On the negative side, a leech found me. I rushed over to my girlfriends apartment and had her inspect me but apparently I got bit in a few places and they had dropped off already.
Man...what a night. LOL....
