To describe and simplify the concept, think of a wholesale club similar to Sam's Club or BJ's Wholesale combined with an online flying disc retailer. Flying Disc Warehouse will not offer a regular stock selection, but instead is going to offer it's members a diversified assortment of 50-150 continually rotating products including selections from Disc Golf, Ultimate, Recreational, Canine and other flying disc sports. The idea is to keep these products priced right, moving quickly and constantly rotating and to promote the concept of making it easy for members to try out or "cross over" into new or unfamiliar disc sports. This can greatly increase growth in all involved disc sports from within the existing disc sports community. The product selections will range from limited edition/availability, special promotional packages, one-time buy offers and factory second deals that will have a predetermined offer window that will not exceed (30) days.

FlyingDiscWarehouse.com is set to launch live on 5/5/09 (Cinco de Mayo!)...the website will be open to the public until 5/11/09 when it will switch to a members-only based site. A limited amount of complimentary 1-Year memberships will be issued shortly...stay tuned!

I just added up the price of the 4 Discraft discs offered on FlyingDiscWarehouse using Sunking Discs's website, and the total came to 34.46 after shipping, which is not exactly a significant savings over your retail site. I'm pretty sure that 7.50 a disc + shipping is still quite a bit over the wholesale price. Do you expect to offer a greater savings to your customers once the site becomes members only?

Market price of 4 Pro D discs is $42 or $10.75/each?

Pretty certain that the MSRP is $8.99...

Slow down fellas, we try to come up with a plan to save you a few bucks and you start bustin' balls...The $29.99 price for the Discraft 4-disc set INCLUDES Free Shipping, which is nearly $5 (or 17%) less than full retail, not bad for such a small purchase and in line for a wholesale club discount. Typically you need to buy a whole lot more to get a wholesale price...The SRP of $42 is an estimate of the suggested retail of $8.99 per disc plus shipping, which most sites charge...

We will be populating more items throughout the week and also handing out (500) free 1-year memberships...
