Has anyone used the Go Cart (http://gottagogottathrow.com/discgolf/go-cart-p-1689.html)? It looks sweet!

It looks extremely overpriced...

it looks like it would only work on courses that are flat. Which around here we have nothing like that so I have no need for anything like that.

So back to my original question ...
Has anyone used this product?

Sorry Sir.
No i haven't used this product. It looks like it could be useful, but also looks a little unnecessary....

If I was going to use a cart, I think I would look for a good baby stroller at some garage sales... the kind with the big wheels. You could convert one of those pretty easy, and even have a drink holder!

theres about a half dozen guys who use MODIFIED golf carts around Rochester, NY. They generally carry 20-30 discs on them as well as there stools umbrellas and small cooler. They always seem like they have more energy during the second round. These guys get around all kinds of terrain too.

I am more interested in the ability to sit on it, you can't sit on a baby cart unless they are modified.

Im sorry.
I dont care if the cart itself throws 1000+ golf for you.
I cant get over the absurd price of over 200 for this stupid thing.
The chairs that most disc golfer use is about 20 bucks. Try that.
ok. im done. sorry again.

you can modify a $20 ball golf pull cart to fit a cooler at the base you can sit on and a few different ways to mount a bag if you really want something like this.
nothing against the people that created this, but i would try that first,as I did and realized that I prefer carrying a bag myself. glad I didn't spend more than $20 to figure that out.

It's always interesting when someone is selling something and disc golfers feel the need to whine about the cost. If you don't want it for that price how hard is it to not buy it? Or maybe -- "I'd buy one if I could get it for "x" amount", maybe there's some wiggle room in the price and they're looking to get some out in the market? Seems logical to me.
A $20 ball golf pull cart? Where'd you find that? I googled around and you can get the drink holder for $20 -- but the cart itself . . . ?
Maybe it's an old-guy thing, I have the money but I sure don't have the patience to be engineering a disc golf cart in what free time I have. If I played a lot of tournaments I'd get a Go Cart -- it's exactly what I'd want especially with the seat and the seat back. Barry Schultz did a nice little info-mercial on one of the Atlanta Open videos -- can't find it right now, but it sure looks like a sturdy/handy little gadget.
I hope they sell a million of them and have to raise the retail price several times because the demand is so high. Good luck!
Send me one on consignment and I'll drive it around the Philly-area courses for you -- when I sell it I'll get another, etc., etc.!

Well said Paul. I didn't ask for people to tell me why they aren't going to but it. I am asking for people who have tried it. I want to make sure it holds true for @200. The Jerry Rigged golf carts and $20 golf seats always break. I've had several of them. Plus it is hard to set your bag on a tripod. I think this product looks great. I may only add a golf umbrella to make it the ultimate rain machine.

I am sorry that I am still not answering your question as somebody that has used this particular cart, but here are some reasons I don't think it looks too great.
1. No cup holder, that would be easy enough to install by yourself though. This one is not necessary.
2. It looks like there are no brakes. If that is the case, it would be very hard to play on a course with elevation, especially when your lie is on the side of a large hill.
3. The part that holds your bag doesn't look secure enough to hold your bag on it's own. It looks like you'll have to bungee cord it on there. Could be a problem on elevation courses again. Very easy to fix
It does look like you could fit a small cooler and your bag on it though. I never have done that for a round, but it would be neat to have somewhere else to put snacks without taking up room in the disc bag.

Any updates here? Anybody using the go-cart and care to share their experience?
I'm pretty sure Barry Schultz was using one at worlds. It looked like one anyways.

I bought one. It's well-worth the $. It's an advantage having a cart. I always have a seat and I don't have to carry anything. It's extremely maneuverable. No, it doesn't have a break. It doesn't need one. Hills are not an issue. Heck the thing's so light when you have to carry it, it's just not an issue. It's very well-done. I'll be surprised if more old guys don't buy one. No carrying stuff -- you always have a seat -- obviously carting around a beer or 10 during doubles isn't an issue -- less bending over -- it may look dorky but usually old guys aren't overly concerned with fashion.
