Someone ask me if I knew how long to boil new discs to break them in or soften them. And specifically the difference in boiling times depending on plastic.
Is this a reliable process to break in discs and does it change the original flight characteristics?

802.01 C. Players may not make post-production modification of discs which alter their original flight characteristics.

Boiling a disc I would say could possiably change the discs shape and probally would be in violation of 802.01 C

sure it would. most discs start out stable to over and when broken in slowly turn to the understable side of things so if you were to make that happen by boiling it then that would obviously be a flight characteristic altering process. duh?

Wouldn't hitting a tree be altering a disc and changing its flight characteristics? What if you thru it in to a boiling pot?

They make so many discs nowadays, you could just buy the disc that is a little more like what you want.
