pro beast or pro valk?
I would like the disc to hold it's turn. my beat pro destoyers will turn, but eventually come out of it when thrown high.

Beat dx teebird. the flip up, and hold a line with minimal fade.

special blend valkyrie is really flippy but i always see the beast doing a pretty good job at what you are looking for.

Valks if you are throwing Innova, XS for Discraft, and Inferno for Gateway/Quest AT.

My main throwing style for distance is a Hyzer-Flip. I've tried all of the discs listed, but have found for the greatest distance, either a Rogue or a Pro Line Orc were the best.
I have many of each (meaning that the limited availability of the pro orc does not effect my decision), and prefer the Rogue.

If you throw with the nose up, the disc will "always" (Change to read "usually") come out of the turn and fade back - regardless of how understable the disc. If you throw with the nose down, even when throwing high, any understable disc should turn over and stay over.
I also wouldn't describe the flight you want as a hyzer flip but as a turnover distance shot. A hyzer flip is thrown flat then turns through the flight and fades back at the end. A turnover shot should turn over and stay over for the entire flight regardless of the height it is thrown - this is provided it is thrown with the nose down.

Careful about using the word always, as you will *always* find someone willing to argue the opposite. I have a couple discs at the house that I can throw straight up in the air and watch turn over and come screaming back down to the earth. So nose up does not ensure low speed fade.
"Turnover shot" is somewhat vague, as it describes the flight path of the disc, but not necessarily how that flight was accomplished (hyzer flip, straight to anhyzer, anhyzer release). Hyzer flip implies hyzer release with some degree of turnover, but leaves the end of the flight "up in the air", so to speak :D. Something more specific would be "hyzer flip turnover" or "hyzer-to-anhyzer".
That being said, I had the best results with the original run of Infernos, which would flip up and anhyzer for most of their flight, with great results. Unfortunately, the plastic beat up quickly and they turned into hyzer flip rollers :(. The new Pro Beasts perform very well, as do Roadrunners right out of the box.
My opinion.

Pro Orcs for hyzer flip distance and Champ RoadRunners for hyzer flips which stay turned (longer). The RR is basicly a Valkyrie-L and new ones fly like broken in (not beat) Valk.s... note: i have nose up tendencies.

(for me) The Z-Flash trumps all for that shot. It goes for miles (sounds better than feets :D) when the line is hit correctly.

i just found lately that a worked in flx surge ss works well for me, i like wider wings and this thing is fast. i only have to throw it about 70% to get it to pick up and go.
