There is now on the PDGA schedule an x-tier Super Class event scheduled for April 11th in Chester, Arkansas.
This is a sanctioned event so here is your chance to get a rating in Super Class and see where you rank in the world!! (Could be close to the top as not many of these events have been run so far!!!)

There will be a flyer out soon, and information will be on www.wafda.org (http://www.wafda.org) also.

Pro entry will be $25
Am Entry will be $20

Ams will get a disc as part of the entry to use in the tourney, and additional discs will be available for purchase at $6 each. This will be limited to the first 30 or so players!! So pre-reg now or come out early. Player's meeting will be at 9:00, pre-reg will end at 8:30.

The Dogwoods and Redbuds are blooming. The grass is getting green. And the Super Barrels are just two weeks away! Everything is coming together perfectly in Chester. I hope to see you here!!

If anyone would like to stay overnight, I have a travel trailer you could crash in, or I have several local cabins, or a Bed and Breakfast, willing to give reduced rates. Just let me know, and I'll see what I can get setup. This could be a perfect opportunity to go south on Sunday and play Alma, Ben Geren, Tilles, and our new course in Greenwood! Or go north and play Northshore, JB Hunt, the Jones Center, and Bella Vista! Why not make it a Disc Golf weekend in Arkansas!! :)

Just wanted to pop this back up as a reminder. Do not forget this event, it should be a lot of fun. Even if you have never thrown a Super Class disc in your life, you will have a good time here. That might actually make it that much more fun, as I know it did for me at my first event.

I have a good lunch planned, and am working on some good prizes for CTP and for Ring Of Fire. (If anyone would like to donate feel free to contact me!! :) )

I've got some fresh hamburger meat donated, so we are looking at some REAL burgers, and all the fixin's for lunch. This will help to provide more money for the ace pot. And I can almost guarantee, considering the last tourney saw 5 aces, that somebody will hit one!
If not, then we will do a throw-off for it, probably down the big hill with the Super Class discs!

These are the unofficial results of round 1.

While the turnout was not all I was hoping for, the quality of play and competition was definetely alive and well in Chester! We saw some GREAT play and awesome shots all day long. The Ring Of Fire had to be one of the richest ever for such a small tourney!! And hitting those putts from 30ft with a Zephyr proved pretty tough. Let's just leave it at "We had a few pretty large pots waiting to be hit. " Total payout came to over $240, which equates to almost 175% payback on entries!
And that doesn't include the $33 Ace Pot.

Thanks to everyone who came out and especially to those who helped out with Ring of Fire Merchandise!! It was a great time, with competition on the course, and alot of camraderie around the grill and front porch between and after rounds! Definitely a fun experience for all.

Roger Knight currently has the top spot for Arkansas Super Class, sitting at 974 and Stacey Whitley is only the 5th lady with a rating for Super Class.

I think Super Class was kind to everyone who played it! And I was excited to see that we were given ratings for it. I had been questioning it for quite a while.

So Check these out and then get ready to move farther up soon, as we may have another day of Barrel Bashing real soon!
