Received a call today from Longs Creek Elem.............SADC has been invited, once again :D, to participate in the schools Science Day on April 17th (all day with lunch provided by the school).

Looking for volunteers/teachers (Jeff G.:D) to help demonstrate the laws of gravity and many more scientific aspects of disc golf, along with teaching the kids how to play and have fun. Last year was a blast..........if interested please email us at <u>sanantoniodiscclub.com</u>

I'm still looking for volunteers. It's an all day thing with lunch provided. We will probably have close to 200 kids ranging from kinder to 5th grade. The principal raised the number of kids to play because last year many were sad they didn't get to throw the "frisbees". We blew the hot air balloon out of the sky :D

Yes, I'm definitely planning on coming on April 17th. I had a blast last year. I'll put in for a substitute to cover for me right now. What time are we starting this year?

Okay, talked to the school this morning about the schedule, here it is:

7:30am - I'll be there to set up the science display and do a little course maint. (trash and stuff)

Science Day begins at:
8:30am - 3 classes of 2nd graders
9:10am - 3 classes of kinder
9:50am - 3 classes of 1st graders
10:30am - 1 class of 5th graders
11:10-12:10pm - LUNCH PROVIDED
12:30pm - 3 classes of 3rd graders
1:10pm - 3 classes of 4th graders

We'll be done by 1:40pm. The school has doubled the number of students this year!!! Hurray, thanks to all the volunteers!!!! :cool::) :D We will have a blast! Oh, the newest addition this year is......the kinders :) too cute! Can't wait! See y'all there, call me if you have any questions 210-854-2955.

It was a sad rainy day but we had a plan "B" that worked great, the gym :D, which was great when trying to maintain 75 kids every 30min :cool:!!! The kids and teachers had a blast! :D :cool:Everyone was able to get involved and learn and be happy, it was fun! I'll post some pics later tonight.
