Tough call, I'm leaning towards Feldberg. Doss did have a sick year though...Keep in mind Avery and McCabe may still have a few late season 1st places/tournaments yet to go official.

I have to lean for Doss myself...Dave had a great year but Doss played half as many tournaments and they had comparable stats...Just imagine if Nate played more

Not even close, to me.

Dave won 2 of the 4 majors, won the national tour series, and won the biggest non-major in the Memorial.

I dunno I think it's a really tight race between Feldberg and Doss. Overall stats point towards Feldberg, but it's mainly because he played more tourneys than Doss and had a lot more opportunities at points and $$$. So I dont know how that works, but I'm gonna have to go with Feldberg also.

borg obviously

speaking of the Memorial makes me remember just how amazing he played during the final round, some of the best clutch shots I have ever seen.

great years for the other 3 as well though, especially McCabe. Is this the 1st year neither Ken or barry have been included?

feldburg! he won worlds and japan open! and he won the nt points so it has to go to borg!!!!

I might vote for Dave since he seems to always find a way of losing this one.

Also I think Doss handpicked the BIG events more and the USDGC payday mad up nearly half his cash for the year.

McCabe deserves to at least be nominated. I don't think he lost a B-tier all year.

If Avery got top five at worlds, it would be him. Since not, Borg.

I vote Chuck Kennedy for the 2009 Super Classy player of the year!!! That is of course as long as he wins Super Classy Worlds! (and I get my Super Class Tour Pro Card so I can be a voter) ;)

anyone not voting for Val after how she played at the Players Cup is just crazy imo.

They say that over time people don't like playing as much... playing only 13 tournaments all year, to me, seems crazy. Especially when you're as good as Doss. Wow.

I would pick Eric to be the player of the year.Because he didnt lose a B-tier all year. Then he just won the Players cup ,and he is mostly on the top card of A-tiers.But if he isn't on top of the leader card he is on the second card.

Now for the lady's Val vs Liz Lopez.
Val has been smoking it lately and winning every time she plays. But if she is not winning she is in second.
Now for Liz she has done so much this year. She has been on the top card a lot.Now if Val wins then I think Liz will be right be hind her.

how does being on the top or 2nd card = being the best player of the year?

If that is the worst you play and you are still on the 2nd it is pretty good! :D

It was written by a "cheating Leafty" ;) so I wouldn't pay too much attention to it. :D

Also I would say Liz has the ROY locked up but I don't know if she will get a POY nod or not. It would be real cool if she did though.

Looks to me like Borg has added another goal onto his 2009 schedule... winning American Idol! I think he's going by Danny or something like that, and yes my wife makes me watch that show :)

See image and tell me which one is not Feldberg (he uses glasses to conceal ident.)

Didn't hear who won but did hear EMac wasn't even recognized as a nominee at the awards ceremony. IMO that is a joke!

That oversight was corrected at the final awards ceremony.

Winners were Dave, Val, Liz and McBeth.

Haven't you guys been through this before and lost two members because of it? One was a former ROY..............
