This is what our course looked like a little over a week ago after the worst ice storm in memory: http://www.slide.com/r/UFfTO_DBwT_1NuW1rX73DGGQgGosiIm6
We've managed to clear the tees and baskets and some of the fairways, but the course is still fairly a wreck, with months of chainsaw work ahead.
This poem, fittingly written by a New Englander, comes to mind:
Fire and Ice
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
Robert Frost
