WAFDA is very proud to continue this event with our charity The Community Services Clearinghouse (http://clearinghousefortsmith.com/) and doubling our FUN this year!!

We have 2 seperate 1 day events for 2009
Play 1 or Play Both, 2 Completely Seperate Events with Seperate Entry Fees and Pay Outs

Both are PDGA Sanctioned as "XC" Events, these will not be rated due to Mulligans - PDGA Points will be given, the $10 non-member fee is waived. There will be Raffles also!!

Last Year we raised $2,262 cash to our charity, the Community Services Clearinghouse

also a large amount of food, we made the Top 10 in the Nation with Food :)

the tournament also provided players with $395 cash and over $1500 worth of merchandise between 88 Players :D

Saturday will see "Standard" Disc Golf at Ben Geren Park

Sunday will see probably the First SUPER CLASS (http://www.pdga.com/super-class) Event in the area at Tilles Park (Original 9 Hole)

I am also offering a very easy Pre-Reg gets a disc promotion, basically just e-mail me & let me know that you're coming (E-Mail Only - emckee(at)wafda.org) Pay when you show up that morning, it's limited to first 70 on Saturday but no limit on Sunday's Super Class, It's imperative that I know you're coming for Super Class so I can make sure to have enough of these "Special" Super Class Discs, I will be ordering 50 but if we need more I need to know, or you better know to have or get something that's approved for Super Class play

THE DISC FOR PRE-REG WILL END ON JANUARY 28th!!!

So Do You Think You Can Throw A Frisbee??? Come on out Sunday, Feb. 8th.........Better Yet Come out to Both Days!!

This Super Class thing is FUN, made for some real unique golf

Gonna do it again in a couple of months

Really cool thing is that a 9 player sanctioned event added over $200 to yesterdays totals, 100% of the field was paid out, Trophys to all the division winners and at least a disc to everyone!!

Roger Knight won in a playoff with Shawn LeMastus, he took merch instead of cash so he could hopefully play Worlds as an Adv. Master

Zephyrs are COOL :D

This was definitely the most FUN sanctioned tournament I have ever played!!! It was a blast to play with a disc I had no idea how to throw, and learn right along with most of the others. There were a few guys who "CHEATED" by buying discs early or, in some cases, playing ultimate/freestyle for the last 20+ years, and those people are obvious to see by their scores! :)

I have been outside flinging my Zephyr all over the place the last couple of days. I can definitely see having one of these at the house and just shortening a couple of the holes a bit. These "discs" are great for those up-the-middle shots at my place, and are AWESOME to watch floating down that big alleyway on 8 and down the big hill that is the old 16!!!

If you get a chance to hit a SuperClass event, be sure and do it!!!

This afternoon I will be presenting a donation of $2,500 from the Fort Smith Ice Bowl(s) to the Community Services Clearinghouse along with a large amount of food, over the week-end, hopefully, I will be able to update wafda.org with all the info and appropriate thanks to our sponsors

I truly appreciate the DG communities participation in helping the Fort Smith Ice Bowl(s) success, it is because of the player support and our sponsors that we continue to raise the bar on the charitable aspects of this sport that we all love

I can't wait until 2010 Fort Smith Ice Bowl and in the meantime am anxiously awaiting my personal favorite event of the year next week-end at the Horseshoe Canyon Ice Bowl :D
