Attention SADC members, coming up in just one short month is the first ever San Antonio Disc Club Championships. This unique event is one you'll definitely want to play in and I guarantee you've never played in an event like this before. The cost of this event is kept low, like a mini, to encourage all club members to play in both this event and the Bryan McClain Open to be held two weeks later. Proceeds from this event are used as a fund raiser to help the added cash and merchandise payouts at the Bryan McClain Open, but rest assured the winner of each division will get a nice phat cash payout!!!

<u>Format:</u>
This event is open to all SADC members and only SADC members. Membership cost $10 (if you have a bag tag you are already a member). Each player will be seeded in their respective division by their bag tag number entering the event. After the seeding process, participants will face off in NCAA bracket style match play tournament. For example if there are 8 players in a division, the players will be ranked 1 through 8 with the first round match ups being 1 vs. 8, 2 vs. 7, 3 vs. 6, &amp; 4 vs. 5. The matches will be 9 holes for all rounds except the finals which will be 18 holes. At a minimum well be offering recreational men, intermediate men, advanced men, &amp; open men. Well open up any divisions that get at least four participants including womens &amp; age protected divisions.

Date: October 11, 2008
Cost: $15, all divisions
Location: Bryan McClain Disc Golf Course, San Antonio, TX

<u>More Info:</u>
Divisions are capped at 16 players so this can be a one day event. Sign ups are taken now through the morning of the event.
The Livelys are supplying a whole mess of fish for a fish fry and club members have already agreed to bring other refreshments. Even if you arent playing, come on out hand out with the club (although you should just play :D).

Contact Scott Hougland @ ScottHougland@hotmail.com or (210) 896-9498 for more details.

Kewl! But I said Grandmaster not Grandpa, see how quickly alzheimers sets in!

I have a grandson and a granddaughter. They are known affectionately as "OOPS!" and "OOPS! Ver.2.0". So here is...

Grog's Rules for Paw-Paw.

1. NO! You can't move back home! (This is usually overturned by Mee-Mee's Rules, page 2 I think.)

2. Snickers are healthy, they're packed with peanuts.

3. Be careful with the Pampers, this little person is the same person who will be changing your Depends.

4. A Blues Clues DVD is usually only good for 9 holes. (This is also overturned by the Mee-Mee's Rules chapter entitled "Take the Little Fart With You So I Can Take a Nap").

5. If they live with you long enough, Mee-Mee rips out page 2.

6. The banana with tapioca is good, but the green beans taste like they look. (The plus side of this is, if you throw it in the diaper no one knows the difference. You technically take out the middle man. Attempting this with Ramen noodles gives you enough time for 36 holes, but you have to get out of the house fast. While humorous; as the last plate flies over your head you remember why you never take her with you.)

7. Never teach T-Ball in the house. (That was Aunt Maribelle's ashes, not her 5th grade spelling bee trophy all these years. It wasn't totally my fault, I told the kid to swing level.)

8. Never play poker with the kid in your lap unless you want to hear, "Paw-Paw you have three A's!" Immediately followed by "Fold" "Fold" "Fold".

9. No matter how long you've trained that mustache or beard...SHAVE IT! A 6 month old can swing like an orangutang from a goatee. Oh yeah! and wear at least a T-shirt unless you feel like portraying the "40-Year Old Virgin".

10. And most importantly! Enjoy that dumb look on your kid's face as they finally realize what you meant by "Wait til you have kids' of your own!"

Congratulations Paw-Paw and enjoy!

To quote Palin from last night's debates, "Oh golly geez (in an Alaskan acsent that sounds like Marge from Fargo)" many more entries came in yesterday. :o. Looks like the Advanced, Intermediate, and Recreational divisions will be good battles. Per usual the open players are all too scared to sign up early :D.

I'd like to personally thank all of the players who came out to play in the first ever San Antonio Disc Club Championships. I addition I'd like to thank Jeanie Lively &amp; Greg Galloway for bringing food and Jeanie for doing the fish/shimp fry. I know I learned a lot about how to run a large scale match play tournament and you can count on much bigger and better things in the future with this format. Now on to the results ...

There where 19 players playing to 2 division. We raised $143 for the added payout at the 2008 Brian McClain Open.

The 2008 SADC Open Champion is Scott Hougland!

What do you think will happen to America in the nearest future? It seems to me that General Election in the USA looks starts to look like comedy show. :D (http://www.asianave.com/Buy_ephedrine/) Yesterday I found the following post in periodics:

"The Naked Cowboy endorses McCain--ooookay :) (http://www.invisiontuning.com/test/mods/index.php?showuser=519)

The Naked Cowboy was just on tv saying he plans to endorse
McCain. :D (http://www.glee.com/PhentermineOnline/http://www.glee.com/onlinePhentermine/) LOL I'm sure McCain's camp will relay that to him
and I am sure it will mean all the difference to the
outcome of the election. NOT!

McCain's entire campaign has been a 3 ring circus. What
happened there? Bozo the clown Bush would have been right
at home if they had let him anywhere near them. ROFL

How exactly does Bush show his face now that his entire
party has disowned him? :( (http://www.glee.com/Fioricet/)"
