Jerry Gotcher. He's not the biggest of men. I'd say roughly 5'8 or so, average build... Dude's game is as big as the sky though. And I aint talkin' hooking up the ladies n'at.

Our buddy from the south, with no exaggeration, is quite possibly one of the best things for Pittsburgh Disc Golf and the entire sport in general.

Let's see. Not only does Jerry Gotcher-Money put on the most fun times at local events ever, with the Invitational @ Moraine, all the Course Championships, etc. etc. etc. but he works diligently at preparing courses, always wants to draw in new faces, and just is a great ambassador for the sport he clearly loves. I say he's righteous.

Here's the short list....

The Invitational at Moraine. How many new peeps threw putts this year during the course of the Regatta weekend Jerry?!? Right, hundreds!!! How much data do you keep for the handicaps. Right, hundreds of rounds! How much DX Dungeon plastic have you given to kids on their first day of the rest of their disc golf lives? Right, once again for the upteenth time, HUNDREDS! For two years now I have attended and its only gotten bigger with more and more people seeming to give it a whirl annually, not only at the practice baskets but actually walking the course! Grassroots growing. Way to go Jerry! What makes this event so cool for the players is that the handicap system that Jerry based this event around gives everyone a sick chance at Poole-ing away a winner! Fun times for all, greatest of ideas.

The Course Championships. Not only do they raise RIDICULOUS amounts of money for our respected tourneys ( with the help and the support of our players as well... hey, let's not give the Gooch ALL the credit here), but nonetheless, Jerry did start a great tradition of bragging rights through a fundraiser. During these events Jerry always has a way to liven things up, whether easter egg hunts, longest drive contests, CTPS, screw-your-neighbor raffles (my personal favorite)... the list goes on and on. Value for your donation. Something that should never be expected in life, I mean its a fundraising donation for crying out loud, but with Jerry you know you are walking away a winner in more ways than one. Fun times for all, greatest of ideas.

Course Work Ethic. Polesaw. Bowsaw. Loppers. Sickle. These are a few of Jerry's favorite things. Organizing worker crews. Pushing the park to make Moraine all that it can be. For the beauty of the course, as seen at the PFDO and year round, we thank you.

The Jerriat. WOW-EEEEE, riding in luxury n'at. Its more than just a soccer mom whip, its a thought process. The Jerriat takes kids to courses they've never played. It brings hours of conversation and laughs to a trip that would otherwise be mundane. Dub-V, Deis Hill, where the Nissan goes local DGers go because thats how Jerry wants it. Such a great travel friend, great times always had.

I could go on an on, but I do actually have to do work today. So, with that said I want to leave you with this.

Jerry aka Goocher aka Woodja aka Gotcher-Money aka Buster Covington aka Texan Toejam aka Coyote Crusha' Gotcher, you're the man. I know I am not alone when I say with all sincerity that you deserve this one word, thanks. Thanks for all you do as a PFDS member and as a friend.

The end, 'nuf said. :D

I second that! Squeelers are as bad as hitting a tree off the tee only to have it kick/roll backwards, and now you have a longer drive to make than from the tee, and its in a bush, and O.B., and next to a hornet nest! lol But, yeah your courses are alright. Go Browns!

Well Well Well...Mr. 418 joins in the conversation from FIFOville. UMMM...5 Super Bowls, 6 AFC Championships, 18 Division Championships and two more head to head victories over your Brownies.

I think the numbers speak for themselves.
