Discraft Ace Race @ Knob Hill Park

When:
Saturday, August 23

Format:
Two rounds of 18 holes, one throw per hole per player.

Course layout:
Holes are generally between 180 and 250 feet (55 to 75 meters).

Entry fee: $25

Player package:
Two identical Discraft discs, plus a SuperColor mini and a Discraft hat. A $55 value!

Rules of play:
Players are required to use the player package discs, and only these discs. If a disc is lost, the player has the option of using the second disc from the package. Only one throw per player per hole. Groups of up to eight players are generally acceptable, depending on course, time of day and TD discretion. Each player should have their own scorecard and mark "A" for aces and "M" for holes on which they hit metal.

After all players in the group have thrown, discs are picked up and the group moves directly to the next tee. Players keep their scorecards for round two, using the next line on the card to record the round.

The player with the most aces after 36 holes is declared the winner. In case of ties, the number of metal hits is used as a tie breaker. If a tie persists, a closest to the pin contest is then used to determine the event winner.

Prize package:
Grand prize for each event is a Discraft merchandise package, including a bag and ten premium discs.

Well, folks.....Craig ordered the Ace Race packages last week for everyone who contacted him about participating in this year's event. He did order extra packages, however, these are limited in number! If you definitely want to play, contact Craig, Sid Olcott or myself as we have pre-registration tickets available for sale. This is the only way you can guarantee you will have a package available for you the day of the Ace Race.....and these pre-reg tickets will be sold on a first come, first save basis!

Both Sid and I will be at Moraine State Park tomorrow for the Libby Open (1st rd starts at 10:00 am.....see appropriate thread) and we will have these tickets available for sale. We will also be at Tuesday night doubles at Knob Hill and Craig should be at Wednesday's league at Schenley! Don't miss out by procrastinating!

So I guess this is an 'honor system' Ace Race? No time scheduled to start? If that's the case, chalk me up for 6 metals and an ace on hole 10 :)

There will be a start time...And 6 metals and an ace won't do you any good. I think Jerry had two aces last year.

Thanks.I don't think they were up this morning. Anyway looks like you guys had a decent turn out. Not as many as last year though.

I was hoping to make it up there, but it just didn't happen.
