Check your e-mail - the Deer Lakes Course Championship has been rescheduled by Jerry for August.
There will still be a monthly on Saturday July 26th at Deer Lakes.

really?... well that kinda sucks. The date has been advertised in the course bulletin board for two months now and I've told practically anyone that will listen what day the championship was. seemed to me there was going to be a rather large DLDGC casual player turnout. hopefully that doesnt change.

"Please note dates are subject to change."
The above disclaimer is posted on the PFDS Event Calendar thread. :D
Seriously, Stella....sorry about the date change....and if I had done my due-diligence earlier I would have rescheduled the date sooner than today. Being that I run the course championship series I thought it best to move the date for Deer Lakes. The dates for the Mid-Atlantic Am Championship were not published when we were setting the dates for the PFDS calendar early in the year. There are other regional tournaments which have caused us to change the dates for a small number of our monthlies including the Knob Hill Course Championship back in June (due to a conflict with the Shoot the Breeze Open). Rescheduling obviously wouldn't be the case if disc golf clubs would publish/sanction their tournament dates before the season kicks off each year.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, however, the Mid-Atlantic Amateur Championship is one regional event I would like to see some local players participate in. I would encourage any and all Pittsburgh amateurs to give this tournament serious consideration. It will be a well run event (I know the TD very well) on one of the nicest courses you'll ever play (I know the course very well, too).
I will go as far as offering a $10 sponsorship toward the entry fee of any current PFDS member who attends the Mid-Atlantic Amateur Championship. If a current PFDS member plays in the event, I will gladly reimburse those players $10 for simply attending the event....all out of my own pocket. That's how much I love this course and how much I want to support this event. And if any yinzers win your respective division, I'll reimburse your entire entry fee. Anyone game? :)

if I have a ride, I will go for sure. I've heard nothing but good things from everyone thats ever gone to Seneca.
and Jerry, dont think I was being all negative like or anything. these course championships you run are the greatest single idea to aide our tournaments that I've seen. So simple, so effective, so fun. Who doesnt want bragging rights? It just threw me a curve earlier. thats all.
anyway, someone going that wants to take Stella? PM me or email jmc2442@yahoo.com
