RUSH may be my favorite rock band of all time. Jerry I am so glad that you started this thread. I would like to say however that I am offended by the spelling of the great Neil Peart's name on the title of his own thread. Moderator please remove this thread immediately until Gotcha fixes said error. Thank you!

Very NICE! Thanks for sharing. I just watched the first one. Very good camera footage allows you to see what he is actually doing unlike most footage of live drumming. I was really bummed that I could not attend the recent Rush concert in Detroit, but the tickets were a little too pricy...

Being one of the biggest RUSH fans, I can't believe I misspelled his name! Post appropriately edited...

You'll like this....

Geddy Lee now plugs his bass directly into the PA system, thus, he no longer has need for a stack of amplifiers. To balance against the massive stack of amps behind Alex, Geddy has three chicken rotisserie ovens behind his side of the stage (two years ago he used Maytag driers). During last night's show in Pittsburgh, a dude in a chef's hat and apron walked on stage during the perfomance and began basting the chickens in the ovens.....and he was wearing Red Wings swag under his apron! :D

Click here (http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc184/gotcherj/geddy.jpg) to see Geddy's "Henhouse" (note the rotisserie ovens are miked :D).

There is something to be said by all of that sound coming from only 3 musicians.

I got to see them for the second time at Red Rocks Wednesday of last week (6/25). Tix were my father's day gift from the wife. Big time thunder and lightning over the Mile High City in the background almost the whole show. Sweet concert, about 3 solid hours of music!

He is definitly one of the best ever....Exit Stage Left got me into "great drummers" and into seeking more out. But, I got to give a shout out for Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater as the best IMO.

But not to highjack this thread...Neil Peart rules!!

I'm glad you mentioned him Jroc. He is fantastic but after the grief I gave Jerry following the creation of the NEIL PEART thread I couldn't bring myself to give him the shout out in this forum. Glad you did!

Nobody even close in my opinion - some guy once told me that the drummer for RATT was better than Neil - course he did have a mullet.
-all the world's indeed a stage we are merely players...
