It may be a short course, but it is very technical. You have to hit lines and make putts - I did both.

Also most courses in this area are not like that. Sure we don't have a lot of big courses, but we have lots of courses where 54 is a good score.

And besides, its only 4 shots better than the score you posted

also, the course is really old.

NC has had courses in the ground since 1983. Courses that are old are just going to be short.

most all new courses in NC are NOT like that.

Yeah but the course I played has a few holes over 400 and only like 6-7 under 300.

I too have shot a 38 but it was on my home course and only took a few thousand rounds to do. I don't like courses that are so technical you never pull out a driver. Luckily for TX we are getting a lot of courses that require both power and accuracy.

Any course with an SSA under 41.4 is not considered valid for ratings even though we still calculate them as a customer service. Every throw is worth 15 ratings points on Blendon! Brad, that's still an awesome round. Just that the ratings math progressively gets 'frayed' at the edges for courses this short/easy.

I know when I played World Dubs there, there were shots I stuggled on (mainly the over the top stuff) simply b/c we just don't do that here.

However, cashing here is no joke.I've seen C tiers where you had better be putting up 4 digit rounds if you wanna cash.

Yeah but the fact we pull players who aren't too bad from other states helps make it a little harder to cash here. Screw cashing let's look at what it takes to get top 4. :D

I have only won 2 B-tiers and had to shoot 1030 over 4 rounds to do it and in one of those events we still needed a playoff. You have to shoot good in TX to win. I'm not sure about cashing because we do have some ADV players who move up making it easier but I would have no problem saying that you have to shoot real good to make the top card.

Oh we just have Coda, E-mac, yeti, Nolan, and some guy named JD who went to the east coast and brought back an A-tier win.

I made a huge comeback on my final round. I parked the final hole, and the leader who was two strokes ahead had to can a 45' uphill putt for par. He did. Consequently, I missed my last putt for a birdie and that kept it a 2 stroke lead. Would have been great if the leader would have missed that putt and I made it to force a playoff. Tourney: Hound Dog Howler 2004
Felton,DE

Notes: Didn't think it would've rated that highly. I was disappointed in my 50 and thought I should've shot 47 as I missed several putts. I've had several other rounds which I felt were better but were only rated between 1005-1015.

Tourney: Meeks Madness
Course: Meeks Park Blairsville, GA
Score: 54
Rating: 1025

The temps. were below freezing, there was 2 inches of snow on the ground. The first round I shot a 905 rated 68. I was next to last after the first round. The second round, it had stopped hailing, but it was still cold. I shot a 1025 rated 54. I jumped from second to last to second and lost the tournament by 2 strokes. The first hole of the second round I missed a 15ft putt for birdie, who knows what could've been.
