Believe it or not a 78 year old blind man bowled a 300 game last week. Just heard it on Dan Patrick.
AMAZING!

Way to go Dale!
Although this should put any debate to rest as to whether bowling is a legitimate sport.
Name me one sport in the world <ul type="square"> football hockey basketball baseball auto racing golf soccer tennis horse racing lacrosse cricket rugby surfing volleyball skiing track & field boxing & MMA cycling swimming diving water polo fencing gymnastics weightlifting field hockey softball bobsledding luge speed skating figure skating [/list]
where a 78-yr. old blind guy can obtain a perfect (or the best possible) score or basically a score that would beat professionals who make a living from the sport.

Darts could be a potential sport for a blind guy to perfect.

but he didn't bowl on a professional lane conditions, so you can't compare the two..

^^^ thats crap... if its league bowloff night, like stated in the article, chances are VERY good that PBA oil patterns were used. I know the two lanes I bowl at do so...
this is MORE than comparable. Even with sissy oil configs do you realize how hard it is to roll a 300? Pros have a hard time doing it and most peeps will bowl their entire lives and never even come close.

very few leagues use the PBA patterns.
Pros would annihilate a "sissy oil config"..maybe not a 300 but at least a 270.
I'm not saying his accomplishment isn't awesome...I'm saying you can't compare his score on house pattern (which it more than likely was) to a pro's score.
