The double R is proud to be part of this year's Flying Solo Open. This will be a C-tier event 1 day at Rivery park in Georgetown Texas. this will be 2 rounds with lunch onsite. Please mark this on your calendars. we are accepting any and all sponsorship. I understand that this is on father's day but what better way to honor my brother then to try and raise some $$ for his son's education on such a great day. I know Tony will be looking down with all smiles. so come on out and enjoy the course, friends and good time.

I will post more details once they start to fall in place.

Looks like you're learning beer from the best :) - Team Justice has some good contacts with the brewery, you might want to give them a shout to see what they can work on that end. :)

Can you tell me about any additional parking at the Rivery? The Lot looks to hold 24 cars maybe.

PARKErD
Jun 11 2008, 03:04 PM
There is a side road that cars can park on. That area plus the parking lot should hold nearly 40 cars.

may
Jun 11 2008, 03:35 PM
And due to limited parking, it might be a good idea to car pool if at all possible with players in your area.....just a thought!!

MVP
Jun 11 2008, 03:51 PM
No need to worry about parking............just get there at 5:30 like the grandmasters do! /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

WOW all I can say is THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. we raised $3600 and there is no way this would have happened if it was not for the fellow disc golfers. There are too many people to thank but every little thing that was donated even if it was a disc or 2 made the raffle and silent auction that much better. again My family and I can only say THANK YOU and we hope the event was fun and you will come back next year.

Please send any and all comments good or bad on how you think the event went or can be improved.again becuase without the golfers there is no event nor $$ raised for the charity.. chris_ware@dell.com

and I still have not heard on whether the lunch was any good???

Sister well we need the prayers again as I found out last night that they found a few more cancarous cells in here tissues so she will be going back in for another surgery. She is holding out ok but needs prayers.. I was surprised to see her at the tournament but it was a nice surprise. again thank you all for helping my family make Tony's last wish start to become a reality... see you guys at the rock...
