A new course in Lawton, OK is officially open for play.
It is located in Elmer Thomas Park located just west of I-44 on NW Cache Road. The course is 18 holes and has 2 sets of tees and 1 pin position for each hole.
Gold Tees = 7,679 feet par 55
Red Tees = 5,455 feet par 54
The baskets for this course were moved from an old course in Greer Park and are Mach 1's. The city has budgeted for 2009 to install new baskets along with benches and trash cans for every hole.
This is a great course, that will play very tough in the predominate south winds of Oklahoma.
Look for city sponsored leagues and tournaments happening here in the very near future.
