i dont think this is the same company that has been working w/ the pdga on a wii game... cool to think we could have 2 DG wii games!

You're right; it's not the same company.

The other company is called Autonomous Productions, and there is a much longer post about their offering here:

Other Wii DG Game Post (http://www.pdga.com/msgboard/showflat.php?Board=Miscellaneous&Number=792074&Sea rchpage=1&Main=768874&Search=true&#Post792074)

I hope I did that right. I've never linked to another post before.

Looks like we will have two versions of DG for the Wii platform.

Now if I could just get a Wii....

Anyone actually played the Beach Sports version yet?

I saw it online at Sam's Club for sale and was curious if it is worth the $17 it costs?

I bought a Wii about 6 months ago and still haven't opened it yet. I only got curious when I saw Bill on True Blood playing golf. I might open it now.

I have. It's not (my opinion only, of course.)

I've been playing Tiger Woods 2008 PGA Golf while I'm waiting for a good DG game to come out. I highly recommend it. I've been having way more fun with it than I thought I would.

We got one for my 11 year old at Christmas and it's more fun than I thought it would be. So, go ahead, open it.

But i'm an AV snob and my nice tv's won't like something with a 480i output hooked to it.

Suck it up, Hysell, Wii's fun.

Maybe this will change your mind:

I didn't even know EA was interested in disc golf. I wonder how competitive it will be with the Autonomous Productions game that has been in the works for a while...

awesome!!! i thought it was a joke looking @ the screenshot at first. Thought someone photoshopped disc golf into the game. lol

hopefully this can help spark interest for the other game in the works since its supposed to have actual courses and discs and not be quite as generic

Umm, WTF_EA!? (http://www.pdga.com/msgboard/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=616164&an=0&page=1#Post6 22566)

I guess they finally came around?

I have to admit to feeling blindsided by EA doing this, but I'm sure not nearly as much as Geoff.
They basically blow him off, then do exactly as he requested (check the "WTF_EA!?" link in his post).
Whatever. I'll take what I can get.
Looks like we'll have to wait until at least June for the release of the motion+ add-on because both EA's TWPGAG10 and Autonomous Production's "PDGA Presents Disc Golf" (or whatever they're going to call it) require it.

It's been reported that there will be a bundle of TW10 and the Motion+ thingy for "game price plus $10". I guess that will make the bundle $60? The Motion+ thingy is supposed to retail for $20 by itself.

New Tiger with disc golf, bundled with the Motion+ thing, is going to make estimating the impact of the disc golf part impossible. That's too bad, because it would be nice to be able to see something like "TW08: 200k units; TW09: 210k units; TW10 with disc golf: 425k units". Ya know?

I asked Brian Graham about three weeks ago about any progress on the project. He said nothing new to report with not even an estimated release date.

Before the website went down they listed the release date as Dec. 2009.....I do not know what happened to the company.
