i was making a stab at an update tothe google maps course directory, and got it to this point:

assume that zip always takes precedence over state, and proximity will always be used if its not blank. its also an old and partial dataset, but its ok for dev.

theres no error checking yet, so who knows what will happen if you put nonsense in a field

my next step is to rewrite my course layout code using the new API. maybe we could merge the two efforts, since you're further along on the overall directory than i am?

Data is kept fresh by users as there's no way I could do it all myself! :) Feel free to send me a pm with your ideas although my course mapper thing is pretty much finished unless I think of more features to add.

Thanks :) As for the pics, usually people will upload them if they notice there aren't any for a particular course.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head with the all in one spot thing. After planning a road trip last year and searching through a ton of different sites to get course info and figure out which courses I wanted to play, I decided to put something together to make my life easier this year. Since then I've just been adding more and more stuff as the ideas come to me.
