Are you going to be playing in tournaments as well or just courses only??

The first 15 months I am going to play courses like mad! I hope that I get ahead of the curve so to speak so that I can go for Feldberg's record during the 2010 season. Of course if their is a tournament close or I get an invite I would have to play it.

get yourself a VW Jetta TDI and convert it to run on vegetable oil. crazy gas mileage and free fuel in perpetuity. Just use your GPS to find the nearest Chinese restaurant.

I suggest this for any touring player looking to tour full time. Cheapest way to get around the country on a budget.

Is your maximum course list going to be fixed at whatever courses are in the ground by Aug 11th next year, or will you play new courses that say don't go in until 2009 or 2010 just before you visit that location?

Good day Chuck, nice to hear from you. I will play all listed the date of the tour start and all the new courses that are in front of the tour route. When its possible I may hopscotch some courses if they are just off the route, or on my way back home across the country.

Good luck on your adventure! My son and I have embarked on our own disc golf tours the last four summers (see www.teamrizbee.com (http://www.teamrizbee.com)). Last year we traveled from San Diego to Milwaukee (Am Worlds) and back over 20 days and played 60 courses. We also got sponsors for our tour and used the tour to raise money for EDGE.

Perhaps we can link up at some point during you tour - we'll be on Tour de Rizbee's 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011, I'm guessing...

Do you have any estimate on the number of miles you'll be driving?

This is awesome! I wish I could do something like this. When you travel through Da Burgh check out our site for local events. www.pfds.org (http://www.pfds.org)

One recommendation: Mke sure that you have contact information for the course contact person for the courses you want to play, and that you contact them a few days (at least) in advance of your arrival in their town. The reason why I bring this up? Many many many of the courses listed in the course directory are nearly unplayable by visitors, because of missing course signage, missing tee signs, etc. In the last 4 years I have played about 150 different courses and I would estimate that nearly half of them require considerable sleuthing to play - searching for the 1st tee, searching for tee pads/markers, searching for baskets (because of no tee sign), searching for the next tee, etc. I don't know how they ever get new players on these courses, unless the new players are guided through by locals. Anyway, I would hate to imagine you going through that frustration 1,000+ times...

Good advive, I am soliciting course guides as often as possible. I have started a data base with contacts all over the country. Since the website went up I have been inundated with emails from disc golfers that want to meet up and play and be a guide. I encourage others to do the same as the tour needs all the help it can get. Thanks Rizbee, see you in Cali or on the road! Peace...upshot

Good luck with the tour. I played around 10 courses in 4 days (with the 54 holes at Codorus being one of them). It was a blast but really tiring. Our course schedule was a bit extreme but we plan on playing a new state this coming spring/summer. I'd love to be able to play all the courses in the US but I think my employer might have something to say about that! :)

I totally agree with this statement. I have played the majority of courses in Illinois and hope to play them all. It's very frustrating looking for tees and pins especially when you are on a schedule. Good luck on your venture!
