What is the purpose of your club running a mini? In my opionion, minis should be a way to get club funds? Does your club keep a dollar or something from entree fees for the club fund?

purpose could be multiple things...
-make money
-couple bucks off the top for each player
-more potential memberships
-grow the sport
-more events = more exposure
-more potential memberships
-club camaraderie
-build club competitiveness (lets people cut their teeth before playing PDGAs)
-build new potential TDs/leaders by tasking out running the events
-teach newbs and others rules during the rounds
-venue to hold workshops/how-tos
-build a club identity

i'm sure there are others but those are just some that come to mind

I think our club keep a buck and a half per player... not positive but think so. then also, ams are paid out in club merch bucks... which also makes money for the club. I must say we are fortunate that we have the people to step up and run our events.... so I have to say ....
