Saw that clip of Hosfeld @ the recent Players Cup on DGTV and noticed he putted Turbo....Anyone know if this is his preferred method inside 40'??

Thanks

the one round I played with him it was pretty much just inside 15 feet.

I did see him step up to a wide open, no elevation, no wind putt with not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7, not 8, but 9 FREAKING PUTTERS.

He went through them trying to figure what to use.....one of the strangest things I've ever seen on the disc golf course.

Yes....The reason I ask is that I putt Turbo inside 50' and sometimes longer if downhill and wonder if he was one of the few players out there who threw the Pizza as well.

i ususally play with hos alot in florida and he usually only turbos from about 15'. john e mccray is another player that turbos very well. ive seen johne make a 65' turbo on one knee. both are very great putters in general.

Open/Pro Master Mark Martin, #2532 from Kansas/Missouri, is a turbo putter...a very good turbo putter.

He's the guy who taught me how to Turbo. He showed me with a 10x Aviar signed by Bruce Jenner. /msgboard/images/graemlins/ooo.gif  :D

Yes, I've seen Mark putt. I honestly think he is the best turbo putter out there. I've seen a few good ones but Mark has it down.

Must have used putter #5 then. #1 is the most stable and #9 the least with #5 right up the middle... ;)

We've got a local pro, young guy, named Mark Lawrence that is a fantastic turbo putter. He can throw drives out to 150ish (maybe further, not sure) with a light sidewinder with a turbo as well.

At our handicapp league on Sunday, I played with Hos. He was nailing putts all day!! Using a walk up style and balance to execute. Killin em' with that style. His turbo's are usually behind the back, upside down, blindfolded, all while standing on his head.

Right-side up or upside-down turbos?

I have not seen many use it in tourney play, but I played a round with Mark Martin earlier this year and he was by far the best I've ever seen at it. I know he hit at least one 40 footer and many other 30 and in using the turbo style. I asked him about it and he said he first started using that style in 1981. I guess he should be pretty good at it after doing it for 26 years. I was definitely impressed.
