The Ventura monthly is this Saturday Oct 13. Tournament Central will be in Campground M at Campsite 17 for both the monthly and the tournament. We will have both courses setup and we will play a round on each course. The new course will remain setup until the end of the Classic Oct 21. If you are planning to come out early you can get a leg up on everyone and play both courses. Friday Oct 19 we will be starting the check in process, and we will be hosting a long drive challenge and a hole in one contest. DGA baskets will go to the winners of each contest. Come on out early and enjoy the fun...

What time is Friday check-in, long-drive challenge happening?
i plan on getting there 2pm friday.
The second course is much different than the original, a little tougher and requiring good disc spotting on some holes.
Be ready to make some weird shots, i mean that in a good way!!! :D

I thought the temp Howler course was pretty great. I really liked the "island" hole 2, I thought the uphill anhyzer hole 3 was a unique challenge, hole 4 was a nice control downhill bomb, 7 was a nice tunnel, 8 was a great "par four" with plenty of options and lots of obstacles, 10 was a beautiful control low ceiling hyzer with anhyzer option that i think was the best hole all weekend, 12 was a really fun hyzer, 15 was a particularly challenging uphill anhyzer tunnel, 17 was a unique "top of the world" that was very steep but very short and 18 was a totally awesome downhill gap with over-the-top options. I thought the OB was very fairly drawn and the holes were designed carefully to make challenging putting circumstances and the holes generally allowed for multiple shot options. Great event this year! The best part, besides playing the new course, was watching the 4 pros in the final 9. It was amazing to watch some of the best drives I've ever witnessed from Paul McBeth (with his Destroyer and Max), all around solid play from Robert McIntee "brought to you by DGA Tsunami", Epic thumbers from Lane Mason, and of course Kyle who plays so controlled and effortless that it doesn't seem fair. Plus, the staff at the event were INCREDIBLE and put in a ton of hard work to make it run smoothly and professionally. Can't wait for next year!
