the Champion Glo Orcs will of course be a whiteish glo color

only 25 of each mold are available and at least 6 of each are already pre-ordered

What are the chances for renting a golf cart from the ball golf course for this event. I know the golf course loaned you one for the family event. I'm not talking everyone. Young guys need to get out there and walk it. I'm just talking about old (heart attack prone) guys 45 and over. :)....I only need one for Saturday.....In fact, screw everybody else and just tell them that you just need one for a physically handicapped Furball who drove all the way from OK to play in this event. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Come on Evan....set me up buddy!!!

If not that, what about a shuttle from one of the bigger parking lots?....The lot you guys were at only holds about 20 cars max and if you don't get there early you're stuck parking on the one lane dirt road. :(

I don't want to get "Monkey Butt" this time around or I'm out of there after day one. I'm going to need that golf cart too because I think I had a heat stroke yesterday. :(

Make it happen Evan :)....You don't want me dying at Ben Geren do you??...They would have to close the course and convert it into a big parking lot to handle all my followers that would be coming to the Furdog Memorial and Museum. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

The alternate dirt road should accomodate everyone well (it has in the past) :)

as for the request of the Golf Cart, please understand that this isn't some crappy ramshackle mini-tournament where the TD just shows up whenever he's ready like you're accustomed to...

This is a triple sanctioned event and the leading PDGA Tour event for the Great State of Arkansas....that kinda crap just don't fly at my tournies

please read (or have whoever keeps reading and typing these for you) the copy/paste from the PDGA Competition Manual....

<font color="red"> 3.5. Carts and Caddies
A. Players are required to walk during their tournament
rounds at all PDGA events unless alternate transportation
such as golf carts are provided to ALL competitors</font>
B. Players will have the option to bring a caddie or carrying
device during their round of play. A players caddie is
subject to all items with in the PDGA Rules of Play and the
PDGA Competition Manual including all applicable dress
codes.
C. Players choosing to use a caddie will be solely responsible
for their caddies conduct. Misconduct by a caddie may
subject the player and caddy to disqualification and/or
suspension.
D. Players must instruct their caddies to maintain a
reasonable distance and not interfere with a competitor
attempting his or her shot.
E. For those players wishing to use a carrying device,
approved carrying devices include disc golf bags, foldable
chairs and push cart companions. No animals, motor
driven or bicycle type devices shall be allowed at all PDGA
events.

Now, If I were to provide carts to all competitors, I'd have to jack the entries way high and none of us want that do we, plus the ball golf courses cart rules expressly prohibit dogs from riding in the cart

Jul 30 2007, 06:02 PM
Well if that dont just toast my turds..... How proud that PDGA must be now that theyve pushed out all the beer drinking and rights for physically disabled players to compete in their events. Sorry buddy. No handicap spots or ramps here. Youre going to need Jesus to heal your body so you can walk upright like the rest of us. No wheelchairs allowed in disc golf unless everyone has one eh? :p

This is why I will never sanction Chandlerstock. Back in the old days of the American revolution they had a problem getting the militia members to come to meetings. So you know what they did? They held keggers and the next thing you know, everybody was showing up. We all owe our freedom to beer and the fact the God ultimately gave us the knowledge to make it so that we would find motivation to protect ourselves and help women lose their inhibitions so that we may procreate and continue our species. If it wasnt for beer.a lot of us wouldnt even be here. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif...Judging from the last time I was in Arkansas, no where in the world is that last statement more evident. :o

Now the sign says you got to walk on two legs to get inside.

Wow!!!.... :p

I wonder how many physically disabled people I can get to show up and protest. My sisters in a wheelchair. She never gets out of house so I guess I could bring her down and give her a blow horn. Her wheelchair is motorized too so she should be able to get around very well. Maybe I can bus over a few more from the local old folks home. All you need is a few protesters in wheelchairs now days to get the newspapers attention. That and a little TV coverage of policemen arresting and dragging away disabled people who have chained themselves to tee signs and baskets.

Maybe then the PDGA will get the national attention it's been looking for. :o

You know I used to think that way too. I never believed in aliens until one night a group of alien women landed their spacecraft in my backyard and abducted me. They told me that I was the Alpha male that they had searched the universe for and they said if I didnt have sex with them they would destroy the planet starting with Arkansas first. :(

Well up until then the only Arkies I knew about were Bill and Hillery, Sam Walton, and that Earnest guy from the Braums commercials. I knew also that a lot of Arkies had donated pictures of their teeth to the dental industry for training and the education of new dentists. I figured that it was important to save Arkansas because without the Arkie contribution to the dental profession, young people of the future would have no motivation to brush their teeth.

So, I did what I had to do for Arkansas and planet earth. I had sex with the alien women,.... which all in all wasnt that bad because they showed great enthusiasm. No cuddling was required and as a reward afterwards, one of them morphed into a ham sandwich and a six pack of beer. :)

Later, while we lay there smoking cigarettes and reminiscing, they asked me about disc golf. They wondered why we throw discs with our arms when we should just beam them to the basket. I told them it is human nature to want to fly free and since our bodies are glued to the ground we imagine ourselves flying free when we gaze at the flight of a disc through air. We equate an ace to winning a small lottery,.. a birdie as having a good day,... hitting a tree as dealing with your ex-wife, and landing in deep water as death. Though sometimes discs come back from the dead. For some reason the blonde female had a hard time understanding all of this but after a little interpreting from her friends, she started to get the idea.

After hearing this they were all curious and wanted to compete in an event but I told them that the PDGA would create a rule against it because aliens are different than humans. I said first of all, there is no parking spot for your spacecraft and if there was they would have to get a special tag to park there,.second, the PDGA will not allow you to beam to your lye,..and third, if you did show up the government would declare you a threat to national security and start a war with your planet. I told them also that the idea of the PDGA creating a separate division for them is out of the question because they want to push everyone together so the TDs can make more money by not having to create extra trophys for those extra divisions.

Upon hearing this they were very dis-hearted and once again talk of trashing Arkansas circulated within the group. I pleaded with them No. Humans depend on the chicken industry and we all would perish if it wasnt for Walmart. Then I told them there is one place where aliens are welcome. Its called Chandlerstock. A place that God has lifted toward the heavens so that all aliens, disabled, and toothless people can come together and celebrate in peace and harmony. Its a place where 136 assorted aliens, misfits, &amp; beer drinkers found salvation and shelter from the PDGA last April. A resort that God can watch over his favorite TD and fill the hearts of all who journey there with love and laughter.

With tears in their eyes the group of alien women got down on their knees and said Thank you oh great Alpha Dog!. Not only have you helped to re-populate our planet,..you have shown that there is hope for humans. Therefore we will spare the Arkies and the rest of your planet..

And just like that,..they were gone..... Later I woke up naked in a field with a Debbie Does Saturn dvd in my hand and a note that said .

Though you did not invite us, we came in search of life. A burden we thought we would be but you welcomed us with open arms. The universe smiles at you my friend. For you are truly free to fly as high as your imagination will take you.

Two weeks later the aliens beamed photos of our offspring. All 22,551 of them. One even claimed that she was on the pill at the time but somehow my guys found their target anyway. What can I sayI am the Alpha Dog.

Jul 31 2007, 01:06 PM
Wow!! That was so good that I think we should interrupt Gentry at Pro Worlds to allow you a Golf Cart after all, being that such a famous writer/rock star/porn star as FurBall would grace us with his Alpha Presence at our humble DG Tourney....

We got to take care of these Red Carpet types

I think it would be much better for promotion if you didn't worry about the Cart and use a Jet Back Pack instead though :D

sschumacher
Jul 31 2007, 02:48 PM
Well I dont think a Butt-Pack will be necessary. After seeing the novice Arkies play at Alma Im sure I should be able to put my game on cruise control and take the novice title. If someone on my card starts to do better than me Ill just hitem with a can of Mace. Should I not win Im not worried either because Ive got plenty of plastic in my TD stash anyway.

Judging from how well Okies have been doing there lately Im thinking about sponsoring Connors and Wagle for a percentage of their winnings should they go. Sponsoring Wise would be a lost cause though because if Pitch is there, Dave ends up buried in the ditch. :o

I imagine this should be a good tourney. Two rounds of DG with an optional third round on Sunday should you be in contention is sweet. The PDGA golf cart rule is bogus though. They would probably argue that the PGA doesnt allow golf carts in their tournaments but that might have something to do with the fact that people might not shell out big bucks for gallery tickets if Tiger was just going to cruise by them in an air conditioned golf cart.

It must come down to the haves and the have nots. If you bring candy to school youre going to have to share with everyone. The same thing should apply for the guys smoking pot in the parking lot and those guys hiding their beer in coozies. As for those disabled people who want to play, well lets just tell them to stick with basketball. They still have Chanderstock if theyre interested.

Are there any cheap motels close to the park with a swimming pool where one could go and cool off between rounds? Or is everyone just going to crash on Evan and Pitchs floor? /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Don't go DNFing on us :(

everyone will play the 3rd round on Sunday Morning (unless they quit)...after lunch there will be a final 4 for each div., hopefully with a gallery

of course if you've got to get on the road and not in the final 4(s), and in the payout we will get your stuff to ya so you can get on the road :)

Payouts will be visible Sunday morning so you know what you're playing for......premium plastic, prizes, trophies and cash!!!

sschumacher
Jul 31 2007, 03:55 PM
Well a lot of it depends on whether I drive down by myself or with Wise. Have you ever seen Wise after a tournament where he didn't cash?

The Road Runner don't have nothing on him. Dave's out of the parking lot before you can say "Beep-beep". :o...If you're riding back home with him you have to listen to all his excuses for the first 50 miles and then for the most part,.....he shuts up. :)

The main advantages to driving with him is he has a pike pass and he doesn't make you pay for gas. :)....Other than that the guy is too cheap to drive down the day before and he shows up at your house at 5:45am and gripes because you're not ready to go.

I'm still weighing other options but where is the closest motel with a pool?....I'll need major cooling after my hot rounds of beating up on Arkansas newbees. ;)

Most Convenient and probably Nicest....

Ramada Inn, directly next to the Golf Nut driving range, that's gonna be a happeninmg place Saturday Night as people that were there last year might remember, that's where the long drive contest will be

$74 - 4 people, they gotta pool

www.ramadafortsmith.com (http://www.ramadafortsmith.com), 1-800-2RAMADA, 5103 Towson Ave.

better book it soon to be sure....

there are a bunch of "cheap motels" up and down Towson Ave. (Towson turns into Zero - that's where the course is) rates in the $30ish to $40ish, probably no pools....I wouldn't really reccomend em' unless someones on a real cheap budget....at your own risk kinda places

Why does this have to be "Hell on the Border"????

the name Hell on the Border comes from old west history of Fort Smith back when Oklahoma was even more untamed than it is now :D

Judge Isaac C. Parker, the Hanging Judge from 1875 to 1896 hung 80 people.........this is the judge in Clint Eastwood's "Hang em' High".

A popular biography of Parker was named "Hell on the Border" which was a nickname for his jail, his court was nicknamed "The Court of the Damned"

Shawn LeMastus used the name in the mid 80's and it continued for 9 years and then died off, when WAFDA was formed we helped Shawn bring it back........ :)

that's why you usually see something to do with a noose on the tourney artwork

there you go....local history and a memorable name that fits the month of August and DG on a border town bringing alot of players from 2 states (and more) ;)

it was a hot-time-in-the-ol-town-tonight mighty warm throughout the weekend the weekend was full of Good-Times and Great-Company the plastic flew well the Course played well : lots of neat holes and unique lines in some places , the Course gave-it-up for birdies , pars , etc. in other places the Course took-it-back with extra-strokes on the card but with superior equipment out there ( great-Baskets-that-catch ; great-n-good-looking-Tee-Signs ; great-surface-Tee-Pads ) that Ben Geren Course always shines bright it makes it easy-to-enjoy a Round out there ( even with some of my bad shots-n-yanks )

not sure what you are referring to??????

if it's the "final" scores that was top 4 of ea. div. (5 in the case of Pro Masters who had a 4th place tie), that's why not everyone has a score listed for that round

is there something that I'm not seeing or realizing?

Yea it was a 2 stroke penalty that really did it in the F5. Same disc as another 2 stroke penalty cost me in my in my last B-tier. SAME FRICKEN DISC. Probably has never happened before and probably never will again. Took total momentum out of my sails. Looks exactly like mine! That will not happen again  Best part 415 miles 6 hrs 15min 2 stops. :) Park to home door.

I beg to differ ..........all posted by 9:30 pm last night........including list's of checks to be written, TD report complete except for ace info and addresses of non-current or non-pdga members so the pdga can send them unsolicited junk mail  which I'm doing in between replying to your posts :p

ask Randal, he called me at 6am this morning because I had his score/money inverted with Mark Martin's :o

fixed by 6:30 am this morning :)

don't know when you looked or why it wasn't there, might of been when I was re-uploading this morning

when you do all that you can, lose untold amounts of time to family &amp; work to try and have a bunch of golfers happy and then look on this board to find that you are implying that I uploaded between you posting and me replying, I said that scores would be done the same day and they were :(
