I didnt know where to post this but I had to post it somewhere!!! Today during the second round of the Vienna Open in Temperance MI Josh Barber shot an 18 under for 21 holes!!! The only holes he didnt get were not really true duece holes anyway!!! Id have to the say it was the best round I have ever witnessed in my entire career!!! There were three temp holes but he was still 16 under for the Orginal 18.

I just had to let everyone know!!! So give the man some props!!! I cant wait to see what the round rating is!!!

It all depends on what the field shoots. Being 21 holes, I HIGHLY doubt that it will be over 1100, b/c the ammount of points per stroke will be around 8ish.

Either way, Josh is a great guy who I've got a chance to play with once. Congrats on a great round!

There was a 14 then a 10 and then my 9 down!!! The 14 was shot by a local who plays the course every single day though and his rating is not that high so that will also mess with the ratings a bit but EVERYONE played shorts the second round so that could help him out as well.

I just wanted to put it out there because by far it is the best round I have EVER witnessed in my entire life and it was a pleasure to watch such a great guy shoot it as well.

Heck he shot more under par in his second round then I did in the tournament and I took 3rd place :eek: :eek: :eek:

It was a 1084. Dragged down slightly by 14 scores under the par 63 (all 3s on 21 holes). It was an unreal hot tournament, score wise. My score at both the last two similar-weather Vienna park tournaments would have netted me 2nd and 3rd alone in Advanced. This time? tie 6th.

Mountain Man Millz would have OWNED open either of the last two (Vienna Classic May 06, Vienna Open July 06).

It was just a ridiculous day for scores.

Nice shooting Barber...I would be suprised if it was rated a 1080. I shot a perfect 18 under on 18 holes last year at a short course, but still a bit challenging. It was only rated 1070 and the next best score was -14. I guess I needed a couple of aces to get a bit higher! :D

Looks like Josh comes in around 1073 for that round. The SSA adjusted from 21 to 18 holes is a little over 44 and his adjusted round comes out to just under 39. He needed to shoot two more birds to crack the top 5 round ratings for courses with SSA under 48.

Looks like it really does matter what everyone elses rating is because that 7 under 1st round sure felt like about a 1030 and if you have played the course from the longs you would have to agree with me!!! Looks like ill just have to shoot my 1030 round this weekend in Warwick!!!

Like I said, everyone was hot.

Bwaha! I don't play everyday. I took close to 2 years off and just started playing again like 2 months ago. I'm just happy local guys went 1-2. What a fun tournament.
