anyone know why two of climo's rounds were thrown out to calculate his overall rating? i just happened to look at each round that was used for his overall rating and saw that only two were below 1000. those two rounds just happen to not be included in his rating. i then looked at other top pros and saw that none of them had rounds thrown out. he would likely still be at the top either way, but it seems like there's a little favoritism here. it doesn't have anything to do with me, as i'm nowhere near a pro level yet, but it hardly seems fair. maybe he's making a few more donations than the other pros ;)
anyone know what this is about?

Um the rounds that were thrown out were outside the standard deviation.

Jun 27 2007, 06:48 PM
that makes sense, but no other players had rounds outside the standard deviation?

Well considering he is the highest rated player and pretty much the most consistant too any round belowprobably 40pts of his rating will be dropped. Most players only have rounds that are 80pts below thier rating dropped.

The average overall is 1 round per 50 but the higher a player's rating, the fewer are dropped on average since their standard deviation is smaller than players at lower ratings (on average).

what is it about intermediates that makes them think they're so **** smart? really, the only people i ever argue with on here are intermediate players. i'm not knockin you because you aren't very good, i'm just saying that once disc golfers finally figure out how to throw a disc they get a big head. anyway... just an observation.
i've never read about the deviations, and i hadn't seen it before. i guess i'm stupid for not knowing something that i'd never seen or heard about.. just like people are stupid for not knowing how many fingers i'm holding up right now. idiots and even though the entire post was all in jest and i was basically just asking what it meant. keep up the climo fan boy crap though.

Nothing to do with disc golf. I am fairly sharp.

I wasn't arguing, it was a quip.

Now that is golden. I even sent "Retards For Brains" (not name calling, he labels himself aptly) a PM saying I was playin'. I might have to take it back.

wow guys, i'm insulted. i mean... where are the 'yo mama' jokes? obviously i don't require your A game. you are "fairly sharp," after all (how bold of you to think highly of yourself. i'm awaiting proof).
I hope you you have thicker skin on your throwing hand.
the funniest part about this is that you most likely stole it from another disc golf board. at least you knew not to say anything too clever for krazyeye to understand.

You made that rather obvious.

That is a ridiculous statement. I have already dumbed myself down by insulting someone that labels their self retards for brains.
I hope you you have thicker skin on your throwing hand.

play nice? dude, you made this personal from the start. you could just, you know, mind your own **** business if you want. i'm sure no one would mind. this thread had nothing to do with you and you added nothing to it worth reading (and most definitely not on topic). you are a waste of space. the things you're pointing out about my replies don't even make sense. you don't get what i was saying and you most definitely don't understand my name, as it's an inside joke between myself and a close friend. you've made it mean what you want it to mean, which i'm okay with as long as you aren't so dense as to use it for an insult.
those who are modest can laugh at themselves and those who are prideful will defend their honor to the death. i don't care if you make fun of me. you mean nothing. i just wish that you could understand something that i say. it's very frustrating to have to explain things multiple times and i'm not going to again. have fun thinking about a mediocre insult for an hour. i'm not going to bother reading it.

DirtyEye should wait till his rating exceeds 900 before making insults to 900+ rated players...reminds me of a local player who is under 900 but seems to know everything about everything when it comes to disc golf.

I didn't say anything to any one about disc golf.. And if you think being a 900 rated disc golfer makes you a better person you must not have alot going on. No offense meant to you.

I wish my rating was back to sub 900. I've been stuck in 940's and missing MA1 payout way too often.
What if you have a 1000+ rating. Does that make you a better person? ABSOLUTELY! :D
