Hello,

Can someone tell me anything about Ostpark Russelsheim disc golf course in Germany? I am trying to find a course to send a friend to, and he is stationed in Wiesbaden right now.

It appears that Ostpark Russelsheim is the nearest 18-hole course. Is this the case? If so, where is it exactly? I made a crude google map of Germany's courses from PDGA's directory. Can someone show me exactly where on the map the Ostpark Russelsheim course is?

Link to map (http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=109652967596815974631. 00000112428b17708c30e&ll=49.985945,8.435193&spn=0. 002539,0.005021&t=h&z=18&om=1)

Thanks for any info I can get,

Dan

Ok,

let's try it again, I had some trouble logging in...
So I've found on their website the map of the course:
http://scheibensucher.de/administration/data/upimages/parcours425.jpg

which looks a lot like this part of the google map (http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=109652967596815974631. 00000112428b17708c30e&t=h&om=1&ll=49.992539,8.4385 73&spn=0.004952,0.010042&z=17)

you can also contact them on this email : [email protected]

Good luck :)

Thanks, Julien!

Their website is quite nice indeed. Too bad I am a typical monolingual American, and have to use babelfish to read it.

I think there is ample information present for the PDGA to update their course info under the directory. Using the Large Aerial Photo (http://scheibensucher.de/administration/data/upimages/parcours18300dpi.jpg) from the course website, I made a google map of the course. You can look at it here (http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&t=h&om=1&msid=1096529675968 15974631.000001124cd06115d0365&ll=49.992795,8.4379 29&spn=0.005076,0.010042&z=17). I hope it helps someone out there enjoy our fine sport.

I am an Air Force member stationed in Ramstein Germany. I drive up there and play that course all the time atleast every other week. Give your friend my email [email protected] and i can exchange info.

Thanks a lot. I will pass your info along. My friend is a beginner, so I hope you enjoy teaching the game!

It's good to hear from a fellow discer overseas. Good luck to you, and try to stay out of harm's way.

Thats cool your friend being a biginner I have only played 6 months. But my friend the one that got me into it has been playing for 8 years so he will most likely be the one teaching.

Congrats on the ace. I am still waiting on mine. What does hole 4 look like? How long is it? I would really like to see the course one of these days.

I don't know how long it is about 90 meters so 230+. Heres a picture of the hole in the winter it's all filled in with leaves now.

can anyone tell me what the conditions and layout were for this years ostpark open? All of the scores seem very high for the course in it's current layout.

They added three extra holes 2a 11a 11b. 2a was behind and to the right of hole 2 basket allot of trees. 11a was a on a little soccer field you had to throw through one of the soccer goals. and 11b was a nice little left to right.

So it was a 21 hole course? That makes sense now.

I was planning on gunning for the course record until Longmire told me that it wasn't 44 anymore. I'm still going for it but a 42 is a little tough.
