Crescenta Valley Safari Mar. 24-25

A quickly developed tournament this one indeed.
I walked the course this morning and it is a really cool park.
Would be a nice park for a permanent course.
I hope that the event has a permit or reservations because today there was a boyscout/girlscout thing going on and the first few holes were under siege!
Also: Some signage and banners would be helpful for the dozens of runners and dog walkers circling the area.

Hope a few more folks sign up to check out a cool park/course.

Tim is working with the county or city parks department, whoever is in charge of that park, so I'm sure it is taken care of.

This event is demo to show the parks department how a disc golf course will work in that park.

Wondering if there is dual-flights/ tee times for the pro's and am's still,with a less than full field registered?

Tim has waived the late fees for the event for anyone looking to register this week.

There may be a consolidation of the schedule, but I do not have the full details. Ams and Pros may be playing together Saturday afternoon and on Sunday morning. I don't have full details.

I'm looking forward to this weekend, even though I will be playing the course cold. I'm very excited to see the strong Adv. Master showing. My registration hasn't been posted yet, but we almost have the largest group in the field. I think that goes to show that we, as a group, are really enjoying the play and competition. I wonder if it will be as close as last week at the EIEIO - the top 5 finishers were separated by only 5 strokes!

Thanks to Tim Selinske, SoCal, Innova and all of the other volunteers for a fun event this past weekend. While I did not play as well as I would have liked, I still had a great time. I really enjoyed the temporary course in Crescenta Valley Park - it's always fun to play through big, beautiful tree like the ones in that park.

I think Tim did a great job of dealing with the challenge that he faced Sunday morning. If I was the TD and saw a few hundred Scouts mustering to take over my fairways in the middle of the final round, I think I might have a heart attack. Kudos as well to the players who went with the flow and showed their patience and flexibility. That's probably the best example we could show to the Park and Rec staff.
