The Palm Desert course is a fun 9-holer. It's good to see the locals putting on an event - especially one for charity! We'll try to get a few San Diego locals to go. Expect a few Rizbees!

Team Rizbee had a great time at the Sand and Ice Bowl today in Palm Desert! Of course, walking away with 2nd place (Gwillim) and 4th (Rizbee) always helps!
Thanks Chad for a great inaugural event! Good job PDDGC at filling the field! Thanks to Innova for some schweet schwag!

The Palm Desert Ice Bowl was very fun. With high temperatures in the 80's, sun screen was the only protection from the elements needed.
Thanks to Chad Dean and all the volunteers with the Palm Desert Disc Golf Club for hosting a successful event. I know there were quite a few first timers there. For only being 9-holes, the course was fun and surprisingly challenging.
There were several shower stations located in the park that people can use to cool down when it gets blazing hot. 120 degree highs are not out of the ordinary during the summer. Most of the locals usually play the course at night under the lights to avoid the high temperatures.

Yeah, props to Chad for running everything very smoothly. The ice bowl was great fun, and the course has good challenge for the space given. Definitely a fun event.

Agreed, good time was had by all. Thanks not only to Chad Dean and the Palm Desert Disc Golf Club crew for hosting a quality event, but also to the city of Palm Desert for its foresight and generosity in supporting disc golf and making it a part of its recreation program. The golf world in the Coachella Valley is now more than ball golf.
p.s. Ryan Gwillim can throw discs really far.

Thanks for all of you who came out and played with us and supported the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission -- we raised $600.00 for the cause. It's nice to hear some feedback about the course from players outside the area. BTW, gwillim can throw "really" far, as I witnessed first hand because I carded with him on the final round. It was impressive to watch him and Weiscup go at it. Thanks for the support and we hope you all will come out to play again -- and bring your buddies!

BTW, is the Soccer Park course available for play at night in the summer? We might be able to add it to the Tour de Rizbee itinerary this July. If so, we'd want to schedule a date so we can have local players come out to play with us and help us raise funds for charity!!!

Yeah,
Nothing's more fun than driving over those mountains on the windy roads at night.
